There was a card show in New Windsor, NY today. It was heavily advertised and it turned out to be a really good show...but beyond the cards themselves, it was made great because there were THREE Database members in attendance!
I finally got to meet Dan, aka vrooomed! Dan lives less than a half hour away from me, but we had just never gotten a chance to meet up before...officially. We had been in the same building before, just didn't really know it! Anyway, it was great to finally get a chance to talk with Dan in person. He let me know that Jerry (colengco) was planning to get there as well, and a short while later, he arrived.
Pretty cool! So in one day, the number of Database members I've met in person went from 3 to 5. And something I didn't think about until I got home...there's a good chance that room held the largest number of IRs fixed to be gathered in one place in history!
I also got a ton of great cards. I literally bought a shoebox full. And some vintage...I'll get to documenting that tomorrow...after 23 hours awake, I'm about done for the day. Dan, Jerry, great to finally meet you!
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
