I tend to use the same cup and rinse it out until my wife nabs it. I had a Chief in the Navy that never even rinsed his out. It was almost black inside. He would take time off on leave and leave coffee in it until it molded. When he got back he would toss the mold and liquid out and pour a fresh cup of coffee.

Daily. At a minimum a thorough rinse, but usually gets the sponge treatment.

The mold adds flavor and protection against diseases. But I wash them daily because they get sticky and have coffee on the side. But I am the front desk person when people walk in so it has to be a clean area.

When I drank coffee at work, I never washed my cup. It was a plastic Snap On Tools cup. Did not even rinse it every day. Never tried to grow penicillin in it though. At home, it gets washed every day.

Pretty much daily since I have about 6-7 and they all get through the weekly wash.
I used to use a Washington Capitals mug and washed it out maybe every 6 months since it wasn't dishwasher safe. Hey, I never got sick to my knowledge..

I drink a yeti-filled mug that holds 5 cups of coffee daily and it gets washed daily. Mainly because I now drink it like a man with either hazelnut or French vanilla creamer.

Oh, oh, a brewing (no pun intended, but it works!) debate on black vs. ruining the coffee altogether.....

LOL, yeah, but both the coffee and creamer companies are grateful as I drink more now than ever.

Love the poet Terry Scott Taylor, Joshua...but then I think we've talked about that;)
As for coffee cups... I used to be a wash-a-day guy til my last one with my kids picture on it got ruined in the dishwasher. Now I rinse my new one every day and wash it with soap once in a while and put it through the dishwasher every few months.
When I was teaching school I would usually have to carry about six mugs back to the staff room every couple of days and would drink from whatever cold cup of coffee I happened to find on random bookshelves and window ledges. When you teach eighth grade you have to come up with clever ways to gross them out. Drinking black coffee helps to avoid avoid curdled milk factor.
Black is beautiful.

I'm mostly organizing over adding right now.
