Yeah, that one may have been a bit too easy. For anyone who didn't know, Tim Duncan was a swimmer when a hurricane took out the only olympic pool where he lived. The team decided to train in the ocean, but since Duncan had a fear of sharks, he quit swimming and played basketball instead.

Here's an easy one.. I was a Heisman Trophy runner-up, won three Super Bowl rings, and was the best player in the league for two seasons.

Well, since no one has posted a new one yet, I'll do another. Another baseball one, this will be pretty obscure, so I'll leave plenty of clues.
I was born and raised in the same town as Drew Bledsoe's hometown (not where Bledsoe was born, but where he was raised and went to school, which most places list as his "hometown"). After leaving there, I went on to become one of the greatest hitters at my alma matter (again, the same as Drew Bledsoe, WSU). Coming out of college I was a 3rd round draft pick by the Yankees. I spent several seasons in the minors, making it to AA before the Yankees decided I had a better shot of making the majors with another team (due to them having just signed Alex Rodriguez to play my position, as well as being behind then baseball player Drew Henson on the depth chart as well), so they released me. After not playing ball for a year, I signed with the Twins and played one more year in AA, before retiring, moving back home and becoming a teacher.

Yup. In case you guys hadn't guessed, I also am from Walla Walla. Drew Bledsoe used to play catch with me every now and then while our parents tought summer school together, and Jason and I were only a year apart so I actually knew him pretty well (I even had his dad for math for 2 years (meaning that yes, I failed one of them)).

I guess it's my turn then. I'll follow suit and keep it someone from where I grew up.
Although he was 2 years behind me in school and in age, he was MUCH better than me in sports (ok, so that opens that up to almost everyone on the planet back then...) and we did play Little League baseball together (never the same team). His older brother (Cliff) was actually in my class.
He led the High School football team to an undefeated record in 1988 as their QB and graduated HS in 1989. He went on to Boston College and saw some success there. Enough to be drafted by the NY Jets. He played a backup role on the Jets for 5 seasons before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a draft pick (which was the same round pick as he was 5 years previously).
Who am I and what was the draft round?
