I'm watching the baseball on TV, and Matt Strahm is pitching for Boston. The announcers mentioned he is an avid card collector, who goes out of his way to collector players who have hit a home run off of him. I thought that was funny, and it's something that gets asked about in the forums sometimes, so I thought I would mention it.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

That'a actually pretty cool. I'm sure he wished the collection was rather small....

I know I read something last year that a lot of players and team collected and ripped boxes before and after games together.
