Lance McCullers Forum

With the exception of reissue cards, Lance McCullers Sr. has not had any cards since 1993. Yet all Lance McCullers Jr. cards are automatically added to his dad's PID. I just moved a large amount of 2018 cards to Lance Jr's PID. And today I find two more from the 2018 Topps All Star set. I know this is unusual, Sr and Jr, but how can a member adding new sets ensure the cards are linked to the right player? With Lance Jr still being an active player, this moving of cards to the correct PID will continue every year.

Send Admin a message to have all future Lance McCullers cards default to Jr.

I sent them a message after I posted here. Is there a way on members' part to help filter names?

After uploading the checklist, they can check the PID then. That's really the only way. 

I was hoping!! I just found two players in the 2018 Topps Pro Debut, SO FAR, that have their 60-80 new cards attached to an inactive player with just a few cards. Either my typing fingers will get sore or Admin will be getting a few more messages. 

To me, the best solution has always been to create a third PID, Lance McCullers Sr., move those cards to the new PID, move Jr's cards to the correct PID, and then delete the name both guys had previously linked to.  It works well if Dad wasn't a superstar, played before the age of parallels, and therefore doesn't have many cards.  If a guy actually goes by Jr (like Ken Griffey Jr) there is never a problem. But if he doesn't, like Lance, Topps just prints the cards as Lance McCullers, and the site defaults those cards to the earliest existing PID with that name, which would be Dad.
