Hello Fellow Baseball enthusiasts,
One item on my bucket list is to meet Nolan Ryan. Do any of you know if he ever signs at Card shows? I've looked online but haven't been able to find anything. Any help you could provide to make this happen, I'd great appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Jarrad

As far as I know he does not do card shows. If you live in Houston and go to an Axstros game you could run into him.

I did a TTM back in 1991 he would not sign my card but he send me an autograph picture. I also send Canseco a card to sign and he did the same.
Ryan kept my card and Jose sent my card back. All cool they both were 1991 fleer. It is t like I have 58 Nolan Ryan of of those cards now but back then I had like 5 of them and he is still my favorite player of all time

In other words, you probably sent it to his agent's office, he never saw the card, a secretary mailed you a photo from a huge pile he signed in the winter, and he was none the wiser?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

T206: Did it look like this? I did similar back in the early or mid 90's, (I don't remember the year exactly). This is what I got back.

He just turned 74 and (even if he could) probably wouldn't start traveling to conventions again. He used to sign through his museum in Alvin for a nominal fee about twice a year, but that closed and artifacts have been moved to different exhibit centers in the state.

I have that. Hopefully he signed it, but I'm sure his secretary mailed it.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I'm going to have to rely on chance to meet Nolan. :-)

Yeah Ryan is one of those players you don't get to see often. I go to the inductions in Cooperstown every year (that they have them booo 2020!!) and while you can meet just about any living HOFer, Ryan hardly ever shows up and the few times he has, he only shows up on the stage and doesn't do any of the signings or events. Since he sells his autograph for charity I didn't feel too bad ordering it as it was for a good cause. He's one of the few signed balls of players I didn't meet and hand the ball over to personally.
