1997 Topps Baseball Forum

For those of you with this set in pages, how do you orient the horizontal cards? Do you match the back of the card orientation, where the player name on the front of the card would be at the bottom (same as vertical) but upside down and harder to read? Or reverse it where the name on the front is readable/right side up, but the back orientation is opposite and the name on the front is on the top instead of on the bottom. I just bindered my set and tried both ways and neither way looks right. Its very jarring considering I really like the photos in general in this set...

I align the backs and put up with the upside down names.

This truly annoys me because I'm used to orienting horizontal cards with the top on the left side of the pocket BUT the upside down label then becomes irksome to no end. Pocketing them otherwise looks wrong. 

I prefer 90 degree counterclockwise rotation (top on the left, bottom on the right) when the backs don't have a matching design for vertical and horizontal fronts, but if they do and the horizontal is facing the opposite way, I put them in pages that way.

For this set, I put 18 cards per page so only fronts show. I.e. back against back in each slot.

Working on reconciliation of my collection (still) and ran into a couple of sets that irk me for going against "the standard" (in my head): 1985 Topps Football and any of the Fleer Team Action Football sets.
