That is the way it started out, but Admin requested the change to (or a variation of) the current system.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

This reminds me to contact a dealer to see about 217 Topps buybacks of Phillies he was going to see if he could find some more. I got about 11 of them already listed and scanned.

I have a Gold (I believe) 1997 Lyle Mouton #407. This is available for trade to anyone looking to throw some Series 1 base cards my way on my wish list. I'm not into the parallel/inserts sets. Look on my available for trade to see if I have anything your interested in.

I got a Bagwell XRC from a Topps Traded set in an Update Series blaster box. Made me curious whether they intentionally used cards from old Traded/update sets in the update series packs. Regardless, it was cool to pull a first card of a HOFer from a pack, even with the foil stamp.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I have several from 2017 Update. Can someone create similar checklists in 2017 Update?
Thanks!

I had a card pulled from a 2017 Update pack added to one of the existing "sets". Should I not have done that? There is nothing inherintly part of those set names that indicates they are from a particular series of base cards.
