I traded for this item, a blanket insert, and I cannot figure out what the symbol on the top corner is. Any help?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Reminds me a bit of a dreamcatcher? (And, like Chuck said, a catcher's mask)

Maybe, but there wasn't much thought given to it then if the catcher's mask is on 2nd base. One of my thoughts was it was an aerial view of his home stadium, but probably not.

Why can't it be home plate?
They're the same design as the 1914 originals https://www.tcdb.com/Gallery.cfm/sid/72960/1914-B18-Blankets.

Looks like a petroglyph of a turtle... I know Barry had slowed down a bit by then, but a turtle?

Yeah, that vintage example looks more like a catcher's mask to me. I guess I was focused on the design showing the baseball diamond as one would normally from homeplate being on the bottom and then having a catcher's mask located there, too.

Turtle didn't come to mind, but a ladybug did.

Thanks for that, Dan. I didn't realize these items existed presently, much less in the early 1900s.
