These two insert sets - 1993-94 Score-Pinnacle All-Stars U.S. and 1993-94 Score-Pinnacle All-Stars Canadian) have been difficult to trade for due to members (including me originally before enlightenment) logging them incorrectly. The primary difference between the two sets is the player's pose on the front.
Occasionally the difference will also be the location of the All-Star Game logo (as above) or a cropping of the same photo.
Cards #46-50 don't show a difference in either set but I feel a compulsion to research those particular cards even though the Notes on the sets show that they were distributed as mail-in only - maybe that's why those don't look different.
Score apparently abandoned its distringuishing markers from previous years where either the color of the set design, the placement of nation's flags, or having English, French, or a combination of both in the text, and those probably factor into making these sets problematic when logging them.
Do you think that a simple addendum to the Release Notes on each set would help members be aware of the differences? Not saying that's 100% foolproof as recently I posted a question on the forum where my answer was on the Release Notes, but I missed it altogether. Anyway, I'd like to get your thoughts on this. Until then, I'll have to continue asking potential trade partners to confirm which card they've logged on their Trade List.
