At the top of the overview page. It will have the title of the set. Under that is the number of cards in the set, the rating, release date and release note. I think the release note field only shows up if someone has added something. You may be able to find it elsewhere but that’s where ive seen it.

For 2018 heritage baseball I see number of cards, rating, release date ,but not release notes. So does that mean there are no release notes given for this particular set?

Valid point Billy, the site is always evolving and with so do some of the ways the site works, heck I can't keep up with most of it.

thanks for the replies-
so should I add info under trivia section, or do inaccuracy report to get someone to add release notes for this set (and other similars)
since most of my modern baseball collecting is team sets, it is helpful to know where the numbers for the high series start as I collect those as separate set if at all.
thanks, mark

Back to the original question, which seems to have been quickly lost, as often happens in these forums... Yes, that seems logical to me Dan, per the site rules.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I may have a different opinion than most re 'what is a set'. As a set collector, I would like some flexibility in the sets I collect. To me, having an insert does create a new set whether an insert in the traditional sense or Young Guns/updates with consecutive numbering. That way, if I only want to collect the base set, I can 'complete' a set of UD S1 without YG's. That means, every year, UD hockey would have 6 differet sets to complete (S1, S1-YG, S2, S2-YG, Updates, YG Updates) ... that suits me just fine. My OCD tendencies can feel the satisfaction of completing the sets I choose every year (and not having partials). Of course, having a set collecting option on the website would be great also (on the to do list).
If base, rookies, and updates with consecutive numbering could be considered the same set, how would 2016-17 OPC set be shown in the database? I realize this is more the exception than the rule, but did want to show an example. In the main set, award winner cards (numbered 661 and greater) are SSP's (Super Short Prints), yet OPC update in the same year also began numbering at 661.
That's just one man's opinion. Thank you.

LOL good point switzr it did get forgotten. And vanoirm that is exactly what I do, to me a base set is a standard issue card. Since YG cards and so on are inserted at a certain ratio I do not consider them part of the base set. What I get is what I get. Ditto for all the update sets. If I get one awesome, if not oh well. That goes for all SN cards as well, such as all the SPA sets in hockey. Pretty much ANY Upper Deck product!
