Haven't gotten much since my mid-year update, but I did manage to get a 2013 Legends Holofoil off the list, so at least that's something. It's still been a great year. The first half was more than enough to make up for a lackluster second half.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I started a new goal recently, but probably won't finish until sometime next year. I'm a Diamondbacks fan, and thought it would be cool to collect the rookie card of all 25 players from the 2001 World Series team. I've started off by getting a Curt Schilling, and expect the Randy Johnson I got on ebay to be here soon. Kind of cool that most of them were rookies during the junk wax era, so should be a pretty inexpensive project.

Well, I completed almost nothing I said at the beginning of the year, but I'm good. I have progressed nicely on 1970 and 1971 Topps. Should get another boost at the holidays. Both could be done next year.
I got a card from the 1930s.
Only in the mid 50% range on 1968 and 69.
Did finish looking through all my cards. That was tremendous fun.
My original goals got distracted by my new quest to get tobacco cards of all the players on the field during Merkle's Boner and display them on a baseball diamond shaped board that I would create. I have 7 of the cards now and just finished making the display case.
And I decided I needed all the non short print Gypsy Queen base sets. Got 'em.
Also got the 2016 Topps set. So it's been a good year. And it's not quite over.

I may have completed one of my goals with the COMC Black Friday sale. I am still missing a card, but I am not sure if it was actually produced. it appears on checklists (including here) but I can find no sales of the card online, ever...it seems unlikely to me that a non-serially numbered relic card from a set where the most I paid for any of them was $3.85 would have never made an appearence online since it's 2002-03 (supposed) issuance.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. 1. Reorganize: Still a work in progress, but getting there slowly.
2. Topps Heritage: Significant progress but far from finished.
3. TEAM LOGO Collection: Really added many, but keep finding more. Thanks to member suggestions progress moved along quickly.
4. Vintage 50s, 60s, 70s: Significant progress, added many cards through ebay, private deals and member trades.
FYI: Starting to trade again, cleared up most stagnant trades....better to handle 1 offer at a time.

Had to pretty much put all collecting on hold, and focus on being able to hang onto what I already own. I'll be back, not the first time I've had to slow down.

I didn't have any goals for 2016 but I've started to think about my 2017 goals.
