Mickey did what no previous manager could do in Detroit - Win a World Series! He did in 1935. He was also the 1934 MVP while he was player-manager. Hall of Fame catcher had a street in Detroit named after him near old Tiger Stadium in Corktown. Retired from playing in May 1937 after being hit in the head by a pitch from Bump Hadley.

"Ee-yah!" would be Jennings' legacy as he would shout that from the 3rd base coaching box. He had the job of managing Ty Cobb as well as managing the Tigers. He was known for crazy antics and is in the HOF.
