Hey, I ordered Pickles on my Hamburger. Where are my Pickles? Mike Trout? No, I prefer that famous Chinese dish, Dizzy Trout. Very enjoyable list. Now excuse me, I'm suddenly hungry.
I loved it. Great list! I didn't know there was a player named Cabbage.
Great list! But also, where is Goose Gossage? Sounds like some elegant French dish to me.
You also missed Laurin Pepper, who just passed away. The "In Memoriam" is the only reason I mention this player though. I had never heard of him before now. With only 7 cards, and most in the 1950's, it's not really surprising that I didn't know this person.
That one made me laugh out loud a few times!
Loved Jello as a kid. Lemon jello was a great flavor.
Thanks for the comments, guys. I wanted to use just one player per food. There maybe 6 Trouts but Dizzy would have been a more interesting entry. Pickles Dillhoefer definitely gets added. How did I miss that one?
Looked at the list of Buckeyes, how about adding Jim Frey and Doc Reisling? I found a bunch of others in other sports but then realized this is a MLB only list
Yes, one card entry per food item makes for a less cluttered list. In reference to the Lemongello and Frey suggestions, are you looking for exact spellings of the food item?
If so, then Jace Fry probably makes the most sense since he has the most cards
Baggett, sounds like baguette, French loaf of bread
| ||
Good suggestions, C2! They don't have to be exact spellings, just close enough to resemble an edible.
| ||
Some updates from your suggestions.
Well done, Sir. Very enjoyable. I just can't/won't do the work you or C2Cigars will on this, but I wonder if Cookie Rojas has a card or two? Tha's all I got.

How could we forget today's birthday boy Felix Pie?
There are a few players named Crabb
Maybe "Cole Sturgeon" ??
Forgot about that morning cup of Joe http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/72304/cid/5181367/1996-Fleer-Excel-57-Gary-Coffee
Came here to make sure Felix Pie was here. Gladly not disapointed.
Perhaps these: Mike Ham Bob Seeds Rac Slider Alec Sole
Concerned that you don't have Chili Davis yet! :-) Bob Seeds?
Chuck Knoblauchs first name would qualify too. Edited to add... Candy Maldonado... Gary Mielke(milky...if you have to explain it is it worth it!!??) Any of the Macdonalds?! And how about Mark Carreon?!
| ||
Felix Pie's last name is actually pronounced Pee-yay. (My best attempt at showing how its pronounced.) See 2009 Topps card. Anyway... Does Vinegar Mizell count?
Thanks TwinKiller! Vinegar Mizell has been added.
| ||
You have German garlick, but what about Kyle Garlick? Pete Hamm?
| ||
Catfish Hunter 🐟 also, would Ty Cobb work for corn on the cob?
