31. 2019-20 Hoops Winter - Rookie Sweaters #RS-CMT Cody Martin
His card was so ridiculous, I had to have one so here is a sweater card. |
32. 1983 Topps #300 Frank Hawkins
Frank had a great college career at UNR. His number was retired and inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He played his whole NFL career (6 years) for the Raiders. After football he became the first African American City Council official for the city of Las Vegas. |
33. 1989 Pro Set #407 David Wyman

34. 1990 Fleer #285 Eric Sanders
Eric was born and raised in Reno and attended Nevada from 1976-80. He also attended my high school. He went on to play in the NFL from 1981-1992. |
35. 1996 Pro Line #340 Alex Van Dyke
Alex was one of the first college players I met in 8th grade and that's how I got this auto. He attended Nevada from 1994-1995. He set several records at the school and was the highest rated draft pick (31st) ever for a Nevada player. He played 5 seasons in the NFL and now owes an training facility for athletes in California. |
36. 2002 Press Pass - Autographs #NNO David Neill
David is the Quarterback I grew up watching while in high school when he played from 1998 to 2001. He set the NCAA record by throwing 29 touchdowns as a freshman in 1998 which stood until 2006. He opted to not continue with football and went on to a veterinary career. |
37. 2005 Playoff Contenders #198 Chris Carr
Chris was a great player playing for a rival high school team in Reno and played for several teams in the NFL until he retired in 2014. He is currently a lawyer. |
38. 2005 SP Authentic - Scripts for Success Autographs #SS-NB Nate Burleson
Burleson played at UNR from 2000-2002 and had a great career in the NFL. He played from 2003-2014 in the pros. He currently does broadcasting. |
39. 2007 Press Pass - Autographs Silver #NNO Jeff Rowe
Jeff was born and raised in Reno and played at UNR from 2002-2006. He was drafted by the Bengals in 2007 but released. A couple other teams picked him up but ultimately released as well. Fun fact is my mom worked with his mother and was given some sample RCs and autos. |
40. 2011 Upper Deck Sweet Spot - Rookie Signatures #RS-CK Colin Kaepernick
Colin attended UNR from 2006-2010. He set several school records and voted WAC Offensive Player of the Year twice. He was drafted by the 49ers in 2011 as the 36 overall pick. He set two NFL records for rushing for a quarterback. We all know the politics but he was a fantastic player to watch at Nevada. |

This state has been very bad to me and my family. Hope the list helps
Unfortunately, the *-reference.com doesn't cover CFL guys, but there are cards available of guys like Lucuis Floyd, Shar Pourdanesh and Chris Vargas available. And Fajardo is having a great season with the Riders, having become the starter after an injury and has lead them to the Western Division lead. Still no CFL cards for him, though.
I like that Babbitt and Johnson went on to play together professionally. I'm not really familiar with them, but it's a cool story and experience for them.
Bob Hamm, #90 Houston Oilers, 1983-1984, never received his own NFL card. But he made a cameo appearance on Eric Dickerson's 1985 Topps Record Breaker card.
Good find C2Cigars! I never would have found that! I wonder how many players who don't have cards are lost in the background. |
