Stadiums I've Been To

31. 1989-90 Panini Hockey Stickers #70 Joe Louis Arena

Besides the Red Wings, I also have seen the defunct Detroit Turbos lacrosse team, the OHL (at the time) Junior Red Wings, the defunct IHL Detroit Vipers, and concerts there. The Joe was a great venue for its time.

32. 2014 Upper Deck AHL #29 Dustin Tokarski

FirstONtario Centre (originally Copps Coliseum) was originally built in the hopes of Hamilton Ontario luring an NHL team. Now outdated for the NHL the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) calls the stadium home. Hamilton is a nightmare to drive in...it is all one way streets. An experiment that proved all one way streets in a downtown core is a horrible idea.

33. 2017-18 Upper Deck CHL #49 Trent Fox

The Paramount Fine Foods Center was anything but... You know how little kid hockey teams get to play during a hockey intermission...well my youngest's team was set to do this. After player introductions where he was on the ice to high 5 all the Mississauga Steelhead's players there was a delay in the start of the game, which ended up being a cancellation of the game and my son's intermission game because there was a hole in the ice they could not repair.

34. 2022-23 Upper Deck AHL #100 Maxime Lagace

Upstate Medical Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial, home of the AHL Syracuse Crunch. Myself and my youngest took a trip to Cooperstown for a Hall of Fame visit. Stopped off on the way back home to catch some minor league hockey action. Nice little arena, not very large but it was pretty full attendance wise. Crunch beat the Belleville Senators 4-2.

35. 2002-03 Toronto Maple Leafs Platinum Collection #95 Air Canada Centre Opening Night

My first ever trip to the ACC (Now Scotiabank Centre) was to see a Toronto Rock Lacrosse game. I have seen the Raptors and Leafs since then. My father in-law works for a company that owns season tickets so a couple of time a year we can use those seats and they are 3 rows up to the right of the Leafs net. You have not experienced NHL hockey until you are that close and can appreciate the size and speed these guys play at.

36. 1994 Classic Four Sport - Autographs #NNO Ed Jovanovski

Fun fact..Windsor Arena (then known as Border Cities Arena) was the original home of the Detroit Red Wings (at the time Detroit Cougars) while Olympia Stadium was being built. Many a Windsor Spitfires game I did see there.

37. 2018 Topps Now MLS #75 Sebastian Giovinco

Despite playing soccer since I was 6, and just "retiring" two years ago, I have not seen a TFC game at BMO Field. I did see a couple of the U21 World Cup games back in 2007...spoiler alert Canada did not fare so well. My wife (girlfriend at the time) loved it, and she hates soccer, because the fans were so awesome.

That's a bunch of stadiums/arenas! The only one in your list that I've been inside of was the Jake. Jacobs Field in Cleveland (now Progressive Field) was my first in-person MLB game as I watched the Indians lose to the Detriot Tigers 4-3. That game was delayed one day by the remnants of Hurricane Katrina and Ivan Rodriguez hit a 2-run HR late in the game to take a 4-2 lead. Cleveland added a run in the 9th, but it wasn't enough. I did drive by the original Yankee Stadium on the way from Cooperstown to NYC that same year though (2005) and the HBC Center where the Buffalo Sabres play 2 days earlier. I also saw the Bears and Browns NFL stadiums before I got to the game at the Jake. All my other sports venues are MUCH farther south.

Fantastic list!  Enjoyed reading your adventures in these places.  As you succinctly put it Hamilton is a nightmare to drive through.

If I did a list like this, it would include a lot of hockey road trips.  One of them was with a friend going to Buffalo, Hamilton and Binghamton in 1996.  I don't remember any problems going into Hamilton, but I wasn't doing the driving.  We also checked out Niagara Falls and dropped by the Niagara Falls Arena.  The doors were open so we walked in and looked around.
