The 1997-98 Studio set was issued in one series totaling 110 cards and was distributed in five-card packs with an 8x10 Studio Portrait enclosed. The fronts feature color player portraits, while the backs carry an action player photos and player information.

Portraits:
Inserted one per pack, this 36-card set is a partial parallel 8" by 10" version of the base set and features portraits of the top stars printed on large cards with a signable UV coating.

Press Proof Gold:
Randomly inserted in packs, this 110-card set is parallel to the regular Studio set. The difference is found in the special gold holographic foil and micro-etched borders. Each card is numbered as 1 of 250.

Press Proof Silver:
Randomly inserted in packs, this 110-card set is parallel to the regular Studio set. The difference is found in the special gold holographic foil and micro-etched borders. Each card is numbered as 1 of 250.

Hard Hats:
Randomly inserted in packs, this 24-card set displays color portraits of young and veteran stars printed on plastic card stock and featuring a die-cut helmet in the background. The cards are individually numbered to 3000.

Silhouettes:
Randomly inserted in packs, this 24-card set features laser die-cutting of star players' facial features. The cards are sequentially numbered to 1,500. An 8"x10" parallel was also created and inserted into packs. These parallels were numbered to 3000.

Silhouettes 8x10:
Randomly inserted in packs, this 24-card set is an 8" by 10" parallel version of the regular Studio Silhouettes set. Each card is individually numbered to 3,000.
