Must frustrating intentional variation I've ever searched out in 45+ years of collecting. Barely perceptible difference side by side with base Piedmont (Old Mill, Polar Bear, Cycle) card, but it's a tighter cropped photo with far less green visible in bottom left corner, and 2 fingers (+ thumb) on the bat with 3 fingers visible on the base. The card stock (all white) is different as well, but that's not visible on a computer screen! Why could they not have used the blue background card variation that the base/standard sized set uses? Tks Topps for absolutely nothing but 14 years of frustration! |
