Set: 2015 Panini Adrenalyn XL Road to Euro 2016 (Rate)

Card: #235 Onur Kivrak

“ Yes I know he is rolling the ball out to a teammate on the back, but anybody else get "Bowling for Dollars" stuck in their head when the look at it? ” -rmpaq5

“ Another one of these playing cards...why does soccer not get actual cards? I like the uniform. Green has always been my favorite color and this is very much green. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This card ,popping up the day before the tounament is starting, makes me wonder how random the card of the day really is. ” -deporcoruña

“ Way too many of these garbage cards around. ” -carthage44

“ I try and give every card type their props but any and all soccer cards are laughable; like they are circus give aways. ” -SFC Temple

“ I'm not really pumped about the Euro tournament anyway, but cards like this one don't help generate excitement... What is the significance of "TEAM MATE" in the bottom-left corner. Are there some cards of people competing as individuals? ” -dilemma19

“ WHY do these things keep coming up!!! ” -RoyalChief

“ Oh fun second day in a row a soccer "Attax" card. This one by Panini. Oh wait maybe it isn't a game card but a regular soccer card? Ugly card TOO BUSY. ” -captkirk42

“ I thought I told you to ban these cards for life? With the large number of soccer cards and teams, looks like we will be inundated forever by this junk. ” -NJDevils

“ To be the world's most popular sport, they sure don't know how to make decent looking cards for it. ” -Doc Floyd

Set: 2012 Top Trumps Specials Manchester United (Rate)

Card: #NNO Rafael Da Silva

“ Just plain terrible. ” -carthage44

“ TRUMP 2016!!!!!!! :) ” -RoyalChief

“ Top Trumps? Let "The Donald" jokes begin... ” -rmpaq5

“ GOAL! Oh wait maybe not. I don't know who makes Trumps but they are like Topps Attax and a type of game card I have no desire to pursue in most cases. ” -captkirk42

“ Nice card. ” -dilemma19

“ Not more of these ugly things. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Make Brazil Great Again!!! ” -cjjt

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Set: 1986 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #545 Mike Jeffcoat

“ Solid mid-80s design. I like it! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ And that's a name? ” -DarkSide830

“ Too much sun for pale Mike. ” -carthage44

“ Now that right there is what you call a basic baseball card. Which means it is absolutely perfect!! ” -RoyalChief

“ Boring design, just maybe a little better than the Donruss set that year, but neither is as nice as the Topps set from '86. The guy looks a bit sunburned. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Nice mid 1980s Fleer. Back before the dreaded gimmicks on base cards that still continue to this day. ” -captkirk42

“ This was one of those forgettable sets from the junk wax era that I can never remember what year it is without looking at the back. Speaking of which the backs were horrible to read back then and with worsening eyesight are almost impossible to read now and I don't think it is from a bad scan. ” -wjsenke

“ Decent basic design. The pose though is pretty much exactly like my 6 year old's team photo day photo this year. ” -rmpaq5

“ The back design was so great, Fleer recycled it in 1989. ” -dilemma19

Monday, June 13, 2016

Set: 2002-03 SP Authentic - Limited (Rate)

Card: #95 John Stockton

“ The greatest point guard of all time! Stockton is the only player to lead the NBA all time record charts in two of the five major stats. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Lets make some diagonal lines around the border, Yeah, cool idea, HAHA! ” -carthage44

“ Too much border, solid back, but OK overall. Great player that saves a dull card. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Another early 2000s design with foil lettering. Not impossible to read, but not that easier either. ” -captkirk42

“ Were those diagonal lines on the border part of the design or an uncropped scan? If design that's hideous. Otherwise this is sterotypical UD design ” -FuriousGeorge

“ Almost nothing is legible on the front of this card. ” -dilemma19

“ A true great and of the real "Dream Team" members. There was only one. ” -UKboogie

Set: 1988 Score - Glossy (Rate)

Card: #146 Robby Thompson

“ A bit more shiny on the front was the only difference between this set and the regular set (besides the print run). We just had a base set card not too long ago. Still like the set. ” -vrooomed

“ The blue works better than the red we saw recently. I liked that design as well. Great scan! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Score was new to the game here and it shows. ” -carthage44

“ Score was a full-color action shot game changer in the card market, improved upon by Upper Deck. ” -pksteinberg

“ Score again? This is the "glossy" version. Oh OK then. Anyway this is an OK design. Team name and logo should be on front. On back card number should be larger and not # of 660 rest of back is OK. ” -captkirk42

“ We just saw this set the other day, and I commented how their was nothing really special about it, but if memory serves correctly now wasn't this the first set to have colour photos on the back as well as the front? ” -rmpaq5

“ 1988 Score. A real game-changer. And they didn't charge a dollar a pack like Upper Deck did the next year. I really do like this set. I'm sure some will complain that they didn't tell the name of the team on the front though. ” -switzr1

Saturday, June 11, 2016

Set: 2009 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #196 James Loney

“ I really like this design. Great scan too! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This looks pretty cool, be better if that red box around LA was a team color instead though. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Another "in case you didn't see the front of the card, we put the same picture on the back" ” -NJdevils

“ Pretty simple design, yet provides the information I look for. ” -engine614

“ And why did the Rays release him? ” -DarkSide830

“ Such high hope for this guy but he just never lived up to them. ” -carthage44

“ I like it. Not sure I own any of these. Came out during my extended break from collecting. ” -switzr1

Set: 1990 Star Miami Miracle II (Rate)

Card: #30 Office Personnel

“ Going by the clothes and hairdos, I did not need the title to peg this as a 1990 card. ” -rmpaq5

“ It's nice that behind the scene folks get some cred , typical '90's a card for everything. ” -uncaian

“ Wow, gotta love team sets that include the whole team. This is doing team sets right. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Oh my......lol. For some reason this reminds me of Miami Vice. ” -RoyalChief

“ This card must have been a HOT find! ” -carthage44

“ 15 minutes of fame. Good for them. Who are we to rain on their parade? ” -cjjt

“ Hey look, it's a miracle we made it on a baseball card! Sorry that's all I got. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Want it! ” -dilemma19

“ Wow! All sorts of stuff to say about this card. Just love seeing the Star Co cards featured. ” -vrooomed

“ Talk about your randomness of random card of the day. The front office staff of a minor league baseball team from 26 years ago. ” -captkirk42

“ Not something I'd collect, but....hey...they are forever immortalized on a trading card. ” -Kaline6

“ I love it! So random. I wonder if any of them were ever asked for autographs. ” -armac

“ Is this for real? There is not enough space to write all the travesties I am looking at. ” -muskie027

Set: 2004 Press Pass Stealth (Rate)

Card: #5 #88 UPS Ford

" Wow this is confusing, a stock car driving over a baseball home plate? Very awkward card design. " -Julius

“ Great card. Nice perspective shot even if it is a studio photo and not an action shot. I complain about Press Pass often but I have no problem with this set. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This just an UGLY card !! YUCK!! Not even the Ford can save it. ” -uncaian

“ Cool stickers as lights, LOL! ” -carthage44

“ Go fast, turn left, repeat. Congratulations! You're now a NASCAR driver. ” -dilemma19

“ Not real big on racing cards, but I like this one, even with the little goofy pics of Jarrett in the upper right hand corner. Might be because I got such great use out of every Taurus I ever owned. ” -Doc Floyd

“ What am I looking at? Oh racing card. I think Billy is right about how Press Pass ruined racing cards when they had the exclusive for them. At least this one shows the car. I can't see from the scan is Mr. Jarrett's name in foil on that foil strip at the bottom? ” -captkirk42

Set: 1990 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #149 Roberto Alomar

“ Excellent scan. Nice solid design. I like it! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ One of the many early 90s sets I STILL need to complete. Someday, someday. ” -captkirk42

“ Acid flashback! ” -carthage44

“ With only two years of major league experience under his belt, Robbie's already tracking toward the Hall of Fame. Unremarkable card overall, though I apparently always overlooked the "vital signs" section on the back. Fleer with SABR data before it was cool. ” -dilemma19

“ I've got a soft spot for 1990 released sets. ” -wax_house

“ Unbelievably, not even close to the worst card design of 1990. These were just uninspiring - Topps, Score, Bowman, and (especially) Donruss were much worse. ” -pistonfan

“ I have a soft spot for Fleer. I loved the debut, and even liked the 1982 set, despite the fuzzy photos. However, by 1990, there was no excuse for this lame of a set. They did have some stiff competition from Donruss and even Topps for worst design, but Fleer wins big. And to top it off, open a few packs of these and stack the cards together - look at the uneven cuts. I could've had a Kindergarten class with safety scissors do a better quality control job. For a 10th effort, this was absolutely pathetic. At least they didn't have yellow borders... ” -vrooomed

Set: 1994 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #40 Albert Belle

“ He kinda looks like The Flash running with the world distorted behind him due to his incredible speed! ” -rmpaq5

“ Nice fluffy clouds! Was this the first year Albert ceased to be Joey? ” -dilemma19

“ ACK! The 1994 UD set was OK a bit strange, but still OK. This "Fantasy Team" sub-set, However, Doesn't really fit at all. ” -captkirk42

“ What a great cheater he was. ” -carthage44

“ The dreaded subset card. Never have liked them, just doesn't make sense unless it's an All-Star, League Leader, or some kind of season or career high-light. Decent looking card, would have been better without the sky fade to the right though, back I suppose would suit the subject of Fantasy Teams. Belle was a solid enough player with good numbers for the amount of time he played, good enough fielder who was only wasted in the bum slot 222 games. Seeing DH listed beside OF for his position would be enough for me to get rid of the card, unless I needed it for the complete set. ” -Doc Floyd

“ Must have been taken in Colorado as the dugout seems to be on the edge of a mountain top. ” -NJDevils

“ "...And he stole the lightning from the sky, then returned to Earth to obliterate the poor ball." ” -DarkSide830
