Two now left in hockey, both missing the same two items.
Some other sets have defined PP as Patented Power and RR as either Retro Rookie or Rookie/Retired.
Can one of our hockey guys figure out what is appropriate here?

And that is it!
You did it!
We're done.
All we need to do now is maintenance. :)
Good job everyone!

Anyone up for the names section next. Minus the non-sports section, there are 11,379 sets that need names either linked or added. Compared to abbreviations, it's a piece of cake.

I don't find Names as easy. A lot of searching to avoid dupes. A player whose full name is William Robert Smith might already have a PID as...
William Smith
Robert Smith
Bill Smith
Billy Smith
Will Smith
Willy Smith
Willie Smith
Bob Smith
Bobby Smith
Bobbie Smith
Rob Smith
Robbie Smith
or some nickname Smith

Yes, I forgot how many minor league baseball sets need names added. And to make matters worse, a player may be listed on his cards as Thomas one year, then Tom, Tommy or even initials only on other sets. I use www.baseball-reference.com and www.thebaseballcube.com for my research. Tedious, but effective.

Use the alias to handle a guy with multiple names in different sets (Robert Kaminsky as a draft pick, Rob Kaminsky after he turned pro, for instance). The alias feature is probably the most misused feature on the site, but when used right, it's the best innovation Admin has created since I joined. I've been working on the names for years. It's my favorite. I often sit in restaurants and do them on my phone if I'm alone. Most of the remaining football is multi player cards with RSmith, DSanders, SWilliams. One is obvious, the others not so much, and commas are in place of slashes. I refuse to work on these at this point in time (too closely resembles my real job). Schedule sets are clogging things up in modern years of some categories. I'm not touching those, but if Admin wants to remove those "sets" our number drops. Baseball remaining is mostly Asian and minors. I've done a ton of minors. Tedious, but most new PIDs created pick up at least a couple cards. I'm hesitant to mess with Asian sets because I'm not familiar enough with Robert/Bob type nicknames. Some look real close to an existing name so I leave them alone. And the hyphens can throw me too. I've found instances of Hee-Seop Choi or Hee Seop-Choi and Hee Seop Choi in the past (not actually him, but other guys I'm completely unfamiliar with). Too tricky for me. Just remember: unlike glossary, every PID you create now will also pick up every future card that player will ever appear on. One can assume a player I made a PID for with five cards in 2014 could have 500 cards by now.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

It is so nice to click on the missing abbreviations section now and rarely finding one that needs fixed!

I still check daily (and find 1 or 2 here and there, but it's completely managable). And yes, it's awesome that we accomplished that.
