I was wondering if we could add an edit function that allows you to add a character mid card number. I'm specifically asking to able to add a dash (-) mid card number. I'm currently working through the 2008 Topps Sterling set updating notes, adding teams, making any corrections I need to, and the one thing I keep finding is that while the card designation is complete, meaning I don't need to add a prefix or suffix, there is no dash between the prefix and card number. (Example 5SSA4 should be 5SSA-4) And since many of the insert sets have hundreds of cards I really don't have the time or the mental fortitude to do that one at a time.

Do they all have the same prefix? If so it is easy use "find and replace" in the edit card number area. Find 5SSA and replace with 5SSA- ............... it is that simple

On a similar note, is there a way to change the characters after a players name? I have found a few instances where the special characters are not updated, TP - Top Prospect or AS - All-Star, etc. Thank you.

That all depends on your permissions level, once you get enough points/level passes then you can edit the Note1 and Note2 fields. Go to the Permissions tab at the bottom and look over the Levels exams and start taking the tests, the more you learn the higher the level. =)

Thanks ranfordfan. I had only taken tests to cover level 3. I will continue through the tests until I have the right permissions.

I still think this feature would be helpful with things like the Fleer insert sets from the late 90s-early 2000s that do not have identicle prefixes, but lots of /'s.

CB, from a coding standpoint - nightmare. Search & Replace, much easier.

A couple convenience items I was wondering about. No idea about feasibility, but they'd help me out. First, if a player is in the hall of fame, it would be useful to me to be able to see that at the checklist level when I'm in update mode. So, when I'm adding cards that I have in a set, I could see some kind of designation of hall of fame status, similar to how the lines show the rough estimate of price value, etc.
Second, when I'm in collection view for a sport and seeing the list of sets that i have, it would be handy to see the percentage of completion next to the set name.
Just a couple suggestions that would benefit me personally. I don't know if others feel the same. Thanks!

Yeah I was just hoping there might be an easier way to fix card numbers like ASAP but on cards is A/S/A/P or something like
ASA-JS/KJ without having to do it card by card. Gotta love the old Fleer inserts.
