Ohhh...the team thing is incredible. Thank you admin! Thank you admin! Thank you admin!
Jupiter, I would assume 25-man, once April rosters are sets. I am the minority opinion that minor league baseball is also real baseball, and their teams and players count just as much as an MLB team. One could assume that any current minor league team with a 40-man player is going to have a TID on our site.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Jupiter, I experimented with Blake Griffin. Put him on the Pistons, and he stayed with the Clippers too. I had to remove from Clippers, who also showed Antwan Jamison on their team. He retired in 2014. Meaning...this is an even better idea by Admin, because it will help us keep rosters up to date by making oversights stand out more.

Also, I like the Two Team option, because all the top soccer players also are members of their national teams. I think race car drivers can be on multiple teams too, if they drive NASCAR and Indy Car, or whatever.

Cool, thanks. Yeah I figured it was 25 man, but I know that teams ship players back and forth a lot so didn't know if it should be 40 man. Once April rosters are set, I'll see what I can do. It does seem some people have been working on a few teams, so maybe less work for others. As for minor league teams, I agree, I love the minors just wish I was in a town with a team. I'm about 3 hours from the closest one, and about 6 hours from about 10 different ones. I'll work on the Royals ones once their seasons begin.

David, multiple teams in NASCAR is possible but only through NASCAR itself. No one can run both Indy Car and NASCAR at the same time, only a one-off race in the other type of car. Running one race for the other type doesn't really make a driver part of that team. Owners CAN have 2 teams though. Roger Penske has full-time teams in both leagues.
But in NASCAR someone can run in two series' at the same time. Ty Dillon did it last year for Richard Childress Racing in the Xfinity Series and for Germain Racing in the Cup Series. Daniel Suarez also raced both of those Series' last year but for the same team (Joe Gibbs Racing).

Though to clarify they can only contend in one of those series they race in. So if you want Cup points, your Xfinity points are zero for the race, but you can still win. Though didn't they limit the number of races you can run this year if your a cup driver, or did I just dream that. If they haven't, they should, its stupid for cup drivers being in the Xfinity series, but that would just get me going in a rant.

I think I will enjoy the current team roster feature as well. I like the way it displays as well when pulling up the playe. As it gets built out, it will be a really nice feature.
In checking out the feature and adding a handful of names to start and see how it worked, one thing I did notice when looking to add the player by last name if there is only one PID in the given sport with that last name it automatically adds it right to the current team roster. However it was not the right first name and not the right player, so if not checking it over it would have added the wrong player to the roster. I deleted the invalid entry from the roster and looks like another PID will need to be made at some point.
Just thought I'd throw out what I noticed on it.

Yes, they can only contend for one title. Suarez only ran in the Cup Series b/c of the sudden "retirement" of Carl Edwards. JGR had no one to replace Edwards or Suarez, so Daniel ran in both but only got points for Cup Series. Same thing with Dillon moving up to Cup Series, RCR didn't have anyone to replace him in the #3 car in Xfinity.
As for limiting Cup drivers racing in other divisions, yes, but not just this year. They made a complicated rule when they added the Chase format to NXS and Trucks. No Cup driver with 5 years in the Cup Series can race in the Chase portion of the CWTS or NXS. Veteran Cup drivers were allowed no more than 10 starts in the CWTS and no more than 10 starts in the NXS last year. This year, that number goes down to 7. NASCAR doesn't want to eliminate Cup drivers from them completely b/c it helps sell tickets to those Series' races AND it helps with sponsorship for those teams. Seeing as how some of the Cup drivers own teams in those divisions, they should be able to race them occassionally. Even though Dale Jr. is retired, he still owns JR Motorsports and will race 2 NXS races this year. He had Harvick and Kahne run several races for his team in the NXS last year. Kyle Busch owns his KBM team in the CWTS, so he'll race a few times in one of his trucks. Keselowski shut down his truck team, so I'd be shocked if he races in any of those races. I'm sure he'll race some NXS races though. Penske and JGR have more cars/trucks than drivers so they need the Cup guys to fill in sometimes. And with the youth movement in Cup, many of the drivers racing on Sunday will still be eligible to run on Friday and Saturday late in the season.

Yeah, I mean I understand it helps sells tickets, and I don't mind if you do 2-3 races a year, but I've become more of a fan of the Xfinity Series and hate seeing 5-6 racers in the top 10 each week from the main series (its still Winston Cup to me, it pains me to call the Busch seris Xfinity). What bothers me most is while cup driver get zero points in those series, it still hurts Xfinity regulars that finish below them. I'm a Michael Annett fan and sure he wasn't going to win the series last year, but he had a consistant top 15 finish and regularly had 5 cup drivers ahead of him. I think if they want the cup driver to still race, they should modify the points for Xfinity drivers. If a X guy finishes 12th with 3 Cup driver ahead of him, give him 9th place points, and so on. As for Dale Jr. next year, I'd be okay if he ran 20 races in the series or more as long as he's not competing in the Cup races each week too. It really stems from as much as I like Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards, I got tired of them being shown all the time a few years ago, when the X series should be more about the future stars, not established guys. I've always considered X and Truck and all the other series the minor leagues to the Cup series, and in a way thats how they should market it. Also think they should have more TV exposure and back to back races with X and Truck which I think would increase ticket sales too. UGH, ranting again. Carry on.

I really like the roster feature and that it shows up on the player page
I had another thoight that might be fun:
I love the players birthday feature on the main page. Could members be added there as well so that members show up when it is their birthday?
I also think it would be great if you could associate a college to your member profile for alumni.
Thanks for the great additions every time there is an update.
Dan
