Best of luck with the family health issues. I had a similar situation back in 87 so I can somewhat appreciate what you are going through.

Number 1 complete. Threw away maybe 3,000 cards this week.  I think I have another 5000-ct box somewhere with more stuck card bricks.  They will meet their end when I find them.  De-cluttering is fun.  I think i enjoy throwing stuff away more than i enjoy accumulating things.  I think I've also done 3.  The figuring out part.

Thank you Randylaw for the kind words. I think my biggest goal for 2018 will be to drastically thin out my hoard. Comics, toys, cards, and collectibles will be sold. Too much and not enough room. 

# 1 will have been a Failure THIS year but hey there is always 2018. I will defintely complete the Baseball 71' set next year.

# 2 Definitely did add some SGC 71's including my COLLECTION DREAM CARD # 502 Cubs Team SGC 96 ! Unless an SGC 98 or SGC 100 turns up one day than that one would be my ULTIMATE card !

# 3  Check it has grown ! Even my amount logged onto this site has grown slowly and steadily throughout the year. 

# 4 Also check  mostly meant 2014 Topps , & 2016 Topps Done a little of both from Parallels to inserts. Also have added a few to my Homerun sets I.E. A-Rod Road to 500 & Bonds HR History etc.

Small update on my goals. Only two have changed since my midyear update. 

#2, get 250,000 points here. Not going to happen in 2017, I ran out of cards without scans, topping out at 248,700 something. Should get there next year via new additions. And if I can ever find the packaging I've been saving since the 1990s, mixed into my storage unit which is a totally unsorted mess. Although some were lost to flooding and rats eating them, I have saved every pack and box I've gotten since at least 1999. Should be thousands of scans if I could only find them. 

I hit 500 unique Elton Brand cards in August when my COMC order arrived. Still adding more, I just got three in that I will upload later today. Not close enough to make 600 a goal for 2018 but maybe 2019.  

I have decided that I will only be attempting one card goal next year. But it'll be a big one.

Not card related, but I achieved a major life goal in 2017. I've always wanted to take 1000 photos at a car show, and have been trying to do it since at least 2007. This year I finally did, taking more than 1500 photos at my favorite show. At one point I had a camera in each hand, one taking pictures and one video. I set my personal record for most photos taken in a year (more than 9500) and most car shows attended in a year (16, old record was 5) and most photos taken in a week (more than 4000). Taking all those photos, and the walking required, took an intense physical toll on me...that was in September and I'm still not recovered...but it was worth it. Don't think I can do it again next year, but time will tell. 

Billy, do you mean you have saved every wrapper, or just one of each unique wrapper?

Every single one. I've also saved examples of the clear shrink-wrap protecting the boxes if it had the card company logo on it.

Talk about last minute...I DID hit my goal of 250,000 points...at 9:25 PM on December 31st.  I remembered that I had some checklists to upload and that got me there. I have no more points related goals because 99% of my collection is now on here. I have some cards that have gone missing and some too damaged to scan but for now, I just have to keep up with new additions. I did remember a few things that need some work, but will require more research before I can post them.
