21. 2009 Donruss Americana #96 Piper Laurie

Born: 1/22/1932

Reason Chosen: It was close by. I will likely replace this card sooner or later since it has no real attachment to men. A lot of these cards were just ones I didn't know what to do with while sorting and are used as stopgaps until I find something better.

22. 2009 Topps American Heritage #35 John Hancock

Born: 1/23/1737

Reason Chosen: He signed the Declaration of Independence, that is pretty cool. It's pretty much a keeper at this point.

23. 1996 Fleer Update #U182 Cory Bailey

Born: 1/24/1971

Reason Chosen: While I don't remember much about Cory, I remember this set. I loved this set as a kid. While I didn't have the Update set, I had a lot of their original set cards and I wanted one to be represented in this set. I hope when I'm finally finished building this, it will have a nice variety of card companies, years, and looks so if someone hasn't seen a card before it could interest them.

24. 2011 Topps #231 Danny Woodhead

Born: 1/25/1985

Reason Chosen: The only reason I chose this card was because I liked the throwback helmet the Patriots wore in the photo. When I first got into the NFL, I rooted for the Chiefs since they are local and my dad and uncles did, but I also rooted for a couple cellar dwellers- the Buccaneers and the Patriots. By the time New England were much better, I lost interest in them, but this was a nice reminder.

25. 1993 Action Packed #135 Curtis Duncan

Born: 1/26/1965

Reason Chosen: I loved the Action Packed series of cards, but rarely had any. I also was a fan of the Houston Oilers, and was sad when they moved to Tennessee. My favorite game I ever saw on TV was between Houston and Buffalo in 1993. This card even mentions that game as Duncan had 8 catches including a 26 yard TD.

26. 2009 Donruss Americana #37 John Buccigross

Born: 1/27/1966

Reason Chosen: Another non-sport entry, but since I have tried to stay away from ESPN for the last year or so (tired of them showing nonstop talking shows and hardly any highlights), I will probably replace this card soon.

27. 2008 Topps Opening Day #122 Jermaine Dye

Born: 1/28/1974

Reason Chosen: Though I really like Jermaine Dye, I decided not to make a PC for him. I don't have a lot of his Royals cards so they will stay in my Royals collection, so I decided to use this card for this collection. It was also a good chance to represent the Opening Day series.

28. 2009 Topps American Heritage #34 Thomas Paine

Born: 1/29/1737

Reason Chosen: The set was nearby and a chance to include another non-sport selection. Not much else to say, but I doubt I replace it.

29. 2010 SAGE HIT #80 Jahvid Best

Born: 1/30/1989

Reason Chosen: Another chance to include a Sage Hit card. I'm not attached to it, so there is a good chance it will be replaced.

30. 2012 Upper Deck MLS #114 Sainey Nyassi

Born: 1/31/1989

Reason Chosen: I wanted another soccer card and this one was close by. At least this one isn't a Whitecap. There is a good chance it will be replaced.

I really liked this list!  My favorites parts are the write up on the Mike Marshall card.  I have a Luke Walker from 1969 that is folded and wrinkled and trimmed because I kept it in my back pocket for good luck when I was a kid.  I wouldn't trade that card for anything now.  Also the Eddie Kennison write up brought back memories of some of the Pittsburgh Pirates boxes I bought off ebay, now I have very, very, very many Steve Cookes.

Good Job!

Thank you.  I really need to scan the Marshall card so it will show up on here.  I miss the days where buying a box off ebay was cheap enough to enjoy.  Now shipping just about kills any deal.
