I'm not into baseball so I will pass but I'm curious why only 14 slots? Is there not way more teams than that??

It was 15 (he had already taken one) and that allows a person to choose one team and get a second team assigned randomly.

Basically, he ordered three hobby boxes and will open them up. Everyone who signs up for a slot will receive the cards of the team that they signed up for, plus the team that they receive randomly assigned to them. The $23 each will help offset the purchase price of the boxes and shipping costs (mailers, toploaders/team bags, shipping) to send the cards to everyone.
Group breaks like this are really great ways to help complete team sets for collectors. If you try to do it yourself by opening packs, you're likely going to spend well over $23, and if you buy them yourself from a source online, it will probably come out close to that once shipping is factored in. And, of course, it allows the person running the group break the chance to crack some packs open, which I think we all enjoy from time to time

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Thanks, Jason. I'd never heard of that concept.

To quite from the initial post:
In a nutshell, you will select the team of your choice (first come, first serve). You will receive a second team at random from the remaining teams

Hey everyone. Thanks for answering questions while I slept. Yes, I think they answered everything accurately for you, Commish and Ranford.
