or i think!?!?!
I sell a card for $88.. the tracking shows it arrives at the persons local post office where it was sorted and delivered to thier PO Box that day on Sept 17th.
Now 3 days later, he messages me saying that he never recieved the card. As I'm replying to him, he opens an Ebay Resolution Case, but my reply tells him that the tracking does show a Delivered (i copied and pasted the info to him) and that he needs to contact his local post office and report a lost/missing item with the tracking number. I then see the Open Case and immediatly respond to that- BUT
fast forward 6 hr to now, i went to purchase a couple cards with Pay Pal and there is a reversal on the payment he sent!! that quick.. fortunatly, i contact ebay right away and they sided with me- closing the case and retaining the money to me. Not sure if he found a loop hole in that since there is a 3 day wait, but he should have emailed me on day 1 after showing delivery. I'm pretty sure he was trying to scam on it though.

He should be banned from ebay

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Many of us sell on ebay, please let us know the id or name (name preferred as they tend to ID hop). I had a lot of trouble with a Curtis Christleib (who used variants of that name as well).

Had a very bad experience recently, dealing with a seller I've dealt with for a few years with a transaction off eBay. I paid, he mailed it, said delivered. It wasn't, so I started digging, somehow he had used my old address that I have been away from for over a year. So we went there, people said they put it back in the box. Pretty sure they didn't, as the post office and all the carriers here have always been spot on. The seller refunded me after we waited about 3 weeks, said he was sorry. Very stand-up guy I wouldn't hesitate to buy from again. So either those weird freaks kept my 1/1 card, someone snatched it out the box, or the carrier kept it. It no longer is about the money, or even the card. Thought very seriously about sending them a box full of crap as payback. Turned me off from ordering for a while now. Messed up my run too, as I have the 1/1 red, 2/2 blue, and a /3 gold.

I had something recently "delivered" to me according to tracking. I received another package that same day, so I know my mail carrier actually came. I verified the name/address the carrier sent it to just to be sure, and explained to him what the situation was. He asked me to keep him posted because I suspected it was my carrier (who screws up too often). I called the PO with the tracking number, and they found it was delivered to the same house number, but two streets away. It ended up being like a sorting error. Call the PO with the tracking number and let them do their job.

Years ago, I purchased 2 NY Jets cards from a seller on eBay, with decent feedback. One was basically an inexpensive card worth about a dollar or two, the other was a real nice, short printed, Vinny Testaverde card, worth about $30-$40. As chance would have it, I was the only bidder on this card, and wound up winning the auction, for $2.99 the starting bid. I was excited about the cards and looking forward to adding them to my collection. When the package arrived, I opened the padded envelope, and found just the one inexpensive card, and "NO" Vinny Testaverde card. I checked the envelope for tampering, and there was no evidence of it. So I contacted the seller, who promptly told me I was mistaken, and that both cards were in the envelope. But, as a sign of good faith, he will immediately refund my $2.99 purchase price. Sounded a little fishy to me, that he offered a refund so quickly, without checking into it. I never purchased from him again. But over the years, I have misplaced his ID, so it is entirely possible that he may have gotten more of my money. But if he did then that part is entirely on me.

Unfortunately, these days, the post office seems no longer interested in customer service. I have had several items over the years either tracked as delivered, and never actually received, or lost during the mailing stage while in custody of the US POSTAL SERVICE, and even filing a lost/stolen mail claim, after several months they closed as item not found. When you get a chance, google Bell Gardens postal sorting facility. Items (tracked or untracked) go in, but never come out!!

Sounds like the Hotel California of the USPS (You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave).
