I walked across the street to a local Goodwill and low and behold for the first time ever I see some familer boxes. So 800 & 660 count BCW boxes with 1981, 82, 83, 84, 85 Topps baseball and a 1993 Various Baseball boxes. They are listed at $8.90 a piece. Yup picked them up, probably missing some cards but hey trade bait or pay it forwards.
Oh yeah the truck cost me $745 to fix so my string of bad luck continues.
Found one Gwynn rookie in the 1983 topps set. Great shape
More to follow

Congrats on the find. Sorry about the other.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Would have been really nice to find a couple cards that could pay for the car repairs. Yes, I'm a dreamer.

I say embrace the bad luck, let it be our zen Mark. So when the good should fall in our lap, we can pee a little from the excitment and weep alot from the happiness. LOL Did it atleast SOUND Dali Lhama-ish?! =)

Now I'm going to start hitting my Goodwill store again after giving up and only finding cards for auction on their online store.

1983 Box, gone through.
Gwynn in the box, no Boggs or Sandberg.
I would say good trade bait for the rest and I was able to add to my 83 set. have over 500 now.
Would suspect the other boxes are more of the same, cherry picked
