I just opened a box of cards over the weekend and since they were Panini, I now have 24 of the advertisement card that comes in each pack (I believe this one is the Dunk Info card, it shows up as the NNO insert in the 2015-2016 NBA Hoops set). Now, it IS a 'card' and it IS in the database, so my problem is that I haven't been able to bring myself to throw some out, I doubt anyone wants to trade for them, and with all the packs I open over time, these things are creating a storage issue. I was thinking about keeping one per set, just to show what they looked like, but tossing the rest, but something seems wrong about that.
In my dilemma, I thought I would poll the community. What do you do with these insert cards?

I use them as space fillers in boxes. Or as protection for other cards in shipments.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Protection when I ship cards. Before I traded here, they certainly went in the trash. I could see keeping one, maybe, but I cant fathom the mindset of hoarding them.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

If you have the room, hang on to a few of them. I've done like Chuck and used them as fillers to protect shipping other cards, but you'd be surprised how many trades I've done with the old Topps Company Store cards that came in baseball packs, nearly one in every 3rd or 4th pack.

I keep a lot of my cards in 800 ct boxes, with a penny sleeve taped on the end. I'll write what it is each box on the back of one of those and stick it in there. For ones without blank backs, like the old Score Super Bowl Kid ads, I toss them in the trash (or more specifically, my recycle bin).

For those with blank backs I use them as a backing for stickers since I use both sides of the 9-pocket pages, and that way the back of the card opposite it doesn't show. Other than that just filler for protection.

If it’s listed I try to collect it. I also save everything for trades.

Just used 6 of these to protect cards at the ends of the 3 800-count boxes:

I hoard to a limit of 10, I keep 10 of each for trade purposes and one in each of my sets. They are inserts after all.
