Which Canadian? I have a good guess...
-------------------------------
I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Dianschube is still active on this site. I received a ridiculous offer from him yesterday.
-------------------------------
I will entertain trades but please don't offer me a 1993 Dave Stieb for a Nolan Ryan rookie. I prefer player for player (at least similar era and similar stardom).

got a FB friend request from this and he said it was his 'nephew'(who happens to have the same name): https://www.facebook.com/phillip.schuber.1
just ask him to coin the card(s) he wants to sell/trade and you'll never hear from him again

Yeah.. It means putting a coin or something beside the card to show it's yours..
I'm on a couple Buy/Sell groups on FB and that's one of the rules they have.. Some people will put a piece of paper with their name and date on it or something like that.. Just something to prove it's not a random photo off the net, or a scan of a card off the net..

little new back to collecting myself, but ive always seen that term as doing something like this: putting your name and date on a piece of paper to prove you have the card in hand:

Wow. I've been in the hobby since 1978, doing stuff in newsgroups back in 1996, and ebay since 1998, and I never heard that term.
Thanks for explaining it for me. Thankfully, I've never had a need for this.

I first encountered that terminology in the Facebook card groups. I hadn't heard it before either...putting your name there is a pretty solid tell, but just some random coin doesn't tell me anything, so I'm not sure why people think it's useful. If I'm ever asked for that, I'll probably break out a half dollar or Ike dollar, just to see how many people don't know what it is, LOL.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
