Sounds like a Ponzi scheme

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Well, it seems that everything that's good in life and works well, eventually becomes a target for scammers. This site is no exception. I haven't been duped yet, but will be vigilant for those that try, and make sure I post when or if it happens. Stay on your toes all, and let others know about potential problems.

Just as we use the forum to reveal scammers, please use the feedback to recommend honest traders. As scammers invade our midsts, the reputation developed through feedback is most important especially for the honest newbies.

This thread has me a bit nervous as I recently accepted an offer similar to the one at the start of this discussion, one "money" card from my end for a bunch of older common or lower end cards in return. The person has a 100% rating but when I clicked it, it turns out they only have one positive feedback.
Is there any way to see if the person in question (who I won't name publically since I'm not sure if they are a scammer yet) is doing this same thing multiple times?

The easy way to handle this is to request that they send first.

agreed, and since there is only one feedback, he shouldn't be offended with that request.

You might also touch base with the person who left the feedback and see what he thinks depending on the size of trade he did with the person you are trading with. Also, check his completed transactions. Not everyone diligently leaves feedback so often a person may have more trades than what his feedback is, and possibly all good trades.
