I somehow missed the slope style, and I love Jamie Anderson. She has cards, by the way. It must have aired when I turned the tv off during figure skating. I was so disappointed, but glad she won.
I've become a bigger fan of biathlon this year. Watched one a couple weeks ago, and then a couple in the Olympics so far. I liked the comparison I heard, it's like sprinting up ten flights of stairs then trying to thread a needle.
That guy who won the skiathlon was very impressive after falling at the start and getting so far behind. I was exhausted just watching.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Hey, wasn't there someone on here just as the Olympics were about to start that proclaimed gold for the U.S.A mixed doubles curling?Where did he go?

I'll think of them fondly as I watch Canada go for gold tomorrow

Not sure Sandy but maybe he is with the other crowds watching our Canadians kick butt. LOL
In all fairness that event is about as crazy as short track is to speed skating. =)
Funny how we all seem to be watching the same things but David seems to find the intersesting stuff as well. I have not seen a stitch of cross country skiing on the Canadian channels, but then again there are SO many sports and they are going to air what we have a chance at winning in. Hence the finger painting, which I refuse to watch.

I couldnt' find the cross-country either, and that's probably my favorite event at the winter Olympics. I caught a clip of it on the Olympic Channel news show but that's it. I'm disappointed about that.
They are pushing snowboarding way, way too much. That's like the only event they care about this year. the only snowboard event I really like is Snowboardcross. I mean, I'll watch it when it's just one person flipping around, but it doesn't really interest me all that much.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Love the SnowCross events too Billy, we have some pretty good ones up north! We really have it wierd up here. I do believe CBC (our national public broadcaster) has the Oly rights but then on top of that BOTH of our sports networks, TSN and SportsNet (who are both owned by rival companies and not affiliated with the CBC) are also viewing things. I know they are sharing tv rights for NHL hockey for reasons I dont really know but am happy for. But with things all over the place its hard to figure out at times. CBCs app has a tv schedule page that is fairly good but it does not go into detail all the best. I like that its ALL NBC down south, which we get as well. Gets confusing!! I have heard about this Olympic Channel, where is it and what does it do?

It's part of the NBC sports family...we just got it in June or July of last year. Shows events that are part of the Olympics (not all, unfortunately) and films about previous Olympics, but usually only 2008 and later for some reason. (And lots of paid programming between 2AM and 7AM). I really like it a lot. When the NBA and NHL are off season I was watching it almost every day. I don't know if it is USA only or not, but I'm very glad we have it.

Watching Japan and Switzerland hockey right now, I love the mask the Japanese goalie has. She made a good choice.

NBC Sports Network is Olympics 24/7 until it's over. Good place to be if you don't enjoy figure skating. I also love the Olympic Network, Billy. It's kind of cool that I am familiar with competitors in most Olympic events due to watching that for several months. Right now they have JPN-SUI women's hockey. CNBC has curling. NBC is the news. Who needs that...
