I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

It wouldn't surprise me if no one got elected. The strongest case would probably go to Pinella (16th all-time in wins, 1 WS title, Skipper of historic Mariners team, 3x Manager of the Year).

I haven’t looked into all the stats but my gut says no to all but maybe Pinella. I’m not really familiar with the criteria for managers. Do they only take into account his manager career or is it a combination of player and manager? He should be in the meltdown hall of fame if nothing else.

If I had to pick:
Lou Piniella
Will Clark
Orel Hershiser
But I think Lou Piniella will be the only one that will make it.

I would be ok with any one of them, but no more than one
I like to keep this 'separate process' alive, but a minor part of the overall HOF members

The Bulldog deserves in. He had a long career and was at times dominating. He's won the Cy Young, NLCS MVP, ALCS MVP, and WS MVP, along with a Gold Glove AND Silver Slugger. I was not a fan, but I collect him because he was a talented and upstanding player.

Kari I am buying pre-1987 Non Sports. Let's discuss if you have any for sale, even if not listed here. --------------------------------------- There are no bad days.

Steinbrenner, so I can swap out that goofy parody set card for a decent one, like the Yellow Plaque postcard in my Yankee honors list! ;)

If any of these get in, then why not Mattingly?
