Does anyone have any good news from they weekend they would like to share ? I went out to eat at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant with my sister and nephew. The place was crowded and Very noisy.

College visit #3 in the books. So far, he's liked all 3. Two more this coming weekend. Hoping he'll pare down his list of schools at some point here.

The rain cleared out about 10am and the race started on time. It was a bit mis-forecast as the high temperature was 81F and the hottest race at the track since April of 2004. It was great fun. I posted a thread with pics and a video here:

The Texas Roadhouse here in central NC is ALWAYS packed and loud! I'm pretty sure I'll never go there just b/c of the crowded conditions. There are plenty of other places to eat at with a much smaller crowd.

We had a huge rain storm Sunday night. Driving 40 mile throught it wasn't fun. The food at Texas Roadhouse wasn't that great.

I'm a little late, but Sunday afternoon, at our American Legion post, we (the Legion baseball team) held our 13th annual fall poker game, which raises money for a $500 scholarship to be awarded to one of our senior baseball players after the 2020 season. We made enough to cover the scholarship and even pulled in about $200 more in donations for the team itself. Doesn't sound like much, but we don't charge our kids a dime and we fund ourselves completely on donations and fundraisers. All in all, a successful weekend!
