When I first thought about the 1970 design for this year's Heritage, I thought.. meh. But now I kinda think maybe the better photography of 49 years later might actually work real well with that border. I've only really collected Heritage the last few years and not flagship, so maybe its just wishful thinking.

I wish topps would start over at 1952 designs again, and keep the 70s-up designs for archives brand..
after all, it has been almost 20 years since 1952 design, so most players would not appear in 2001 and 2019/2020

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

If they do go wide angle, I hope they're better than in '73 when it was used for player cards, but the card seemed more of an In-Action card. Still they were very difficult to distinguish who was who if a jersey number wasn't shown.
