From what I have seen, it doesn't appear as though each sticker front has more than 4 or 5 back versions. Once everything is done in each set, I can take the time to send out an e-mail to anyone who has these in their collection (whether it be collection, want list, or FS/FT list). But only once the 3 sets are done. We're getting close, and I do apologize for the inconvenience of these being "mis-catalogued", but obviously, when there was only one "version" listed, and one logs their 3 stickers (and they have 3 different backs) and we add the variations, we have no idea which ones you have. So whatever the original sticker was and whatever it's original scan was, is what we're calling that one. That's ALL we can do. Thanks.

Just peeking in here to acknowledge my adoring fans.
I would like to go on record that while I have been behind the keyboard on well over 1000 of these sticker edits (I can pretty much do these on auto-pilot at this point) I am not a proponent of the method.
As I said to Dan just over a month ago:
Glad to have a consistent, specific direction.
Not how I would have done it, but I can work with that :P

More than a year ago (July of 2017, to be exact), I had contacted Admin regarding the stcikers. My message:
Since the sticker backs have their own set, can we please clean up the stickers (fronts) to be just the 1
The answer I got back:
I don't necessarily agree with you and [removed] on this one. The main reason being that cards with certain backs might be more valuable than others, so therefore should be treated as separate entities.
So, I began proposing various methods of creating the variations. Several idea were "meh"ed at. I had one last idea, and if that didn't work, I was going to abandon the idea (I kinda had anyway until that latest idea hit). I got a "Looks good" back and we started.
I wasn't a fan either, but I play by the rules here. :)

What are called the "backs" are actually the numbered cards with the identififed player and these are the cards that correspond to the printed checklist. What we're calling the "fronts" are the peel away stickers and they are the variations depending on how the factory matched the stickers to the backing. I propose the numbering correspond to the original checklist:

Stickers schmickers. They were meant to be plastered all over school book covers and lunch boxes.

Sorry, no. That is an incorrect statement.
What is the name of the product? Was it Topps cards with bonus stickers? NO. It was Topps Stickers. For several years, they had put "throw away" backings on them. And then they got what they thought was a brilliant idea to make those throw aways collectible in their own right. These are sticker sets. These are not card sets with stickers. Feel free to PM me if you wish to continue any dialogue on this one.

<------------------------- sits in the corner looking at all the other oddballs, one won't talk, another has nothing in hand and a third, he has stickers but he keeps shuffling them and giggling. Me? I'm just picking my nose and flicking it at the one who won't talk ...... looks like he's glaring at me. Meh. =)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I hate diving into messes, but I seem to have a penchant for it. Call me a masochist if you must, but this is more on the periphery so maybe I'll simply be splattered with mud on my shoetops and not hit directly in the face.
I "discovered" stickers that are apparently All-Star subsets of this set, but are not labeled as such, but they're different in that they're foil and have a starry design for corners. Am I correct in calling them an All-Star subset? (That's my peripheral question.)
(Now the messy part.) Neither one of my stickers has its back logged as a combination. My OCD requires me to log these, and my preference is on TCDB not a spreadsheet which I've come to find is rather inconsistently updated after numerous transactions are completed. I will state that I'm not one of those conspiracy theorists that believes someone's removing stickers and placing them on backs to make VARs because it simply seems to require too much precision to do without a machine. So I believe there's a minimal number of VARs. So my question is: What's the status of this set regarding a cleanup?
If we must blame someone, here are who I consider the culprits (Clark/Boggs & Mattingly/Davis):
