That's what I do with my team collection as well.

That's probably the best way to pursue it

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I probably think differently. But if I was a Team Collector, and the player played at anytime during that year, I would want him in my collection despite a different uniform or whatever. There should be a way of tagging Teams that a player plays on, so the player auto appears in the that teams set. Just my thinking.

Hi Bob. For my non-Blue Jays team sets (I have a small grouping of World Series winning teams from '57-on), I also do a 'true' team set including any players that played at all that year on the World Series winner. For instance, my 1964 Cardinals set includes Lour Brock. For my Jays collection, I format based on the front of the card. I will likely start to add-in the Now With cards, cuz, as stated in this thread - the more the merrier!!!!

You've got a diamond, You've got 9 men, You've got a hat, and a bat, and that's not all. You got the bleachers, got 'em from spring 'til fall. You got a dog, and a drink, and an umpire's call. What do you want? Let's play ball. OK!! [OK!!] Blue Jays!! [Blue Jays!!] Let's! Play! Ball!

As a Cardinals team collector, I'm actually interested in both flavors for my collection - if a player has been traded to another team but is still in uniform with the Cardinals, it goes in my binder. If a player has been traded to the Cardinals but appears in uniform with the previous team, it also goes in my binder, as long as the Cardinals are referenced (in team name or logo) somewhere.
It's funny that no one I've seen yet has mentioned these (numerous) issues with late '80s Score...

Forsch had been traded to Houston the previous season and it refers to that fact in the bio and stats.
