Happy Birthday

41. 2012 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions #157 Kelly Slater

Born: 2/11/1972

Reason Chosen: How often do you have cards of surfers? I had to mix it up some.

42. 2011 SAGE HIT #17 DeMarco Murray

Born: 2/12/1988

Reason Chosen: The 2011 Hit set was one of the worst ones, but I had this DeMarco Murray card close, so it was chosen.

43. 2008 PopCardz #26 Mena Suvari

Born: 2/13 (no year given on card)

Reason Chosen: I had doubles of a few of these cards, and I like Mena Suvari.

44. 1997 Topps Chrome - Underclassmen #U9 Steve McNair

Born: 2/14/1973

Reason Chosen: I was a huge Big Air fan, and even better, he was born on the same day as me (well, I was born on the same day as him, 9 years later). It was sad how his life ended, but I wanted him to represent my birthday.

45. 2009 Upper Deck First Edition #82 Johnny Cueto

Born: 2/15/1986

Reason Chosen: I liked Cueto's stint in Kansas City, so I thought I'd add him to this collection. I might replace with a better card one day.

46. 2016 Topps - First Pitch (Series 1) #FP-13 LeVar Burton

Note: MUST REPLACE CARD, NO BIRTH DATE GIVEN ON CARD. Too bad, I really wanted a LeVar Burton card in the collection.

47. 2007-08 Upper Deck First Edition #191 Michael Jordan

Born: 2/17/1963

Reason Chosen: Like Babe, even though I wasn't his biggest fan (though I respect his talent), I had to include him in the set.

48. 2014 Panini Prizm Perennial Draft Picks #14 Michael Mader

Born: 2/18/1994

Reason Chosen: I like to have different generations represents in the set, and I like the guys last name. Plus a shiny card, can't beat that.

49. 1992-93 O-Pee-Chee #33 Gary Leeman

Born: 2/19/1964

Reason Chosen: I have very few O-Pee-Chee hockey cards, but I needed to represent it somehow in the set. Not a bad card, and I like the Flames logo. Though if I find a Hartford Whalers card, this could be replaced.

50. 2007-08 Upper Deck First Edition #188 Stephon Marbury

Born: 2/20/1977

Reason Chosen: I always liked Marbury, and still proudly have a pair of old Starbury's. I wish the new ones had wide width sizes, but last I checked they didn't.

I really liked this list!  My favorites parts are the write up on the Mike Marshall card.  I have a Luke Walker from 1969 that is folded and wrinkled and trimmed because I kept it in my back pocket for good luck when I was a kid.  I wouldn't trade that card for anything now.  Also the Eddie Kennison write up brought back memories of some of the Pittsburgh Pirates boxes I bought off ebay, now I have very, very, very many Steve Cookes.

Good Job!

Thank you.  I really need to scan the Marshall card so it will show up on here.  I miss the days where buying a box off ebay was cheap enough to enjoy.  Now shipping just about kills any deal.
