Currently not trading. Rethinking collecting goals with hopes to resume trading in the near future.

I collect purely for pleasure.  I am neither an investor nor flipper.  I have no delusions of grandeur that these cards will finance my children's college education or my retirement.  My collection focuses primarily on teams and players that have meaning to me, and often carry a sense of nostalgia.  When I resumed collecting in 2017, after a 20 year hiatus, I assumed I could attempt to collect everything.  Big mistake.  As a result, my Want List is vast, but my true priorities are as follows:

  • Former Michigan Wolverines.  Basically, anyone who played basketball or football at Michigan since the mid-80s.  Chris Webber and Charles Woodson are my #1a and #1b targets.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo and members of the 2020-21 Bucks NBA title team
  • Members of the 2010, 2013, and 2015 Blackhawks Stanley Cup teams
  • Alabama Crimson Tide football players from 2005 to present
  • 1990s basketball cards - hoping to complete sets from the Bulls dynasty years
  • Garbage Pail Kids specifically of Pete (Peter, Petey, etc), Harper, and Owen

As far as trading, I try to keep it as simple as possible:

  • Keep shipping costs to a minimum.  Big PWE fan.  Also a fan of the "cereal box" for larger trades.
  • Try to make it cost-effective.  Trading two junk wax commons is not worth the cost of the stamp to me.
  • Try to keep it "fair" (base-for-base, insert/parallel-for-insert/parallel)
  • If your offer consists primarily of cards from the areas in which I am most interested, I will likely accept without hesitation.   Otherwise, I will review your For Trade offerings and counter with cards I would prefer.
  • Happy to trade internationally, but the cards need to justify the added shipping cost

Thank you and happy collecting.

I collect: NBA, NHL, NASCAR, Star Wars, History, Military, DC Comics, Olympics, whatever interests me

Current project is trying to get at least one card of everyone to ever get one for NBA, NHL and NASCAR. Also working on getting at least one example of every set ever for the above sports. (Wantlists on Cardboard History)

I have some health problems that make it challenging for me to get to my trade stash. It makes me a slow trader as there are some days when I'm simply in too much pain to access the boxes. My health problems are not transferable so you do not need to fear catching anything from trading with me. I generally only can mail on Saturdays.

Trading:

I prefer to trade 1 card for 1 card. I do not care about any made up "book value". I will gladly trade more than one card for some as well...there are a few cards on my tradelist that I do need more than one card for in return though. I only put sets on my wantlist that are close to completion, so if you have something else in any of the three sports or the Non-Sports topics I focus on, odds are I will want it. Only reason I wouldn't is if I had it already.  If you don't have anything from the topics I mainly collect, but I have something you want, I will also accept football or baseball in trade, pretty much anything to get a trade done. I would prefer not to trade with smokers. I have breathing problems and cards that come from smokers are essentially useless to me, I cannot handle them. I prefer larger trades but will do any size at all.

I have tried to make sure all the cards on my Tradelist are problem free, with no corner dings, scratches or other flaws, but I am human and it's possible I may have missed something, but all cards sent out are cards you shouldn't need to worry about ever finding a replacement for. I don't demand problem free cards in return as my theory is that a damaged card is better than no card, but writing and paper loss means to me that I don't actually have that card so please don't offer them to me in trade.

If you don't care about condition, take a look through my "Damaged Cards" collection. These are all cards that I rejected from my tradelist for having flaws but they are available for trade. I would put them at one third a card "value" so 3 damaged cards vs. 1 of your cards. If you do want any of them, let me know and I will move them to my tradelist. I don't want to put them all there and cause matches for people expecting good cards and getting damaged cards in return. Some of the flaws are pretty big problems, some you will probably wonder why I didn't list it in my tradelist. While my collection doesn't demand perfection, I am very strict with condition on cards I send out in trade.

Trading Prioroties: (what makes me the happiest to get in trade, in no particular order)

  • 1995-96 and 1996-97 NBA Cards
  • 1994 NASCAR Cards
  • Any NASCAR card that actually focuses on the car
  • Automotive Non-Sport cards
  • New York Rangers
  • New York Knicks
  • New Jersey Nets (and Brooklyn and New York Nets, but the NJ era is my favorite
  • Elton Brand
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Henrik Lundqvist
  • History related Non-Sports cards
  • Attractive women (with or without clothes)
  • Anything from Racing Champions I don't have
  • Team logo cards for NBA and NHL
  • Non-sports subjects in Allen & Ginter
  • People with last names starting with Q, U, Z and especially X.
  • With that said, I will trade for anything at any time, whether it's on my wantlist or not. I prefer "quantity" to "quality" and I'm a set builder at heart.

There are also a couple of specific sets I'm really hoping to complete some day:

  • 1996-97 Ultra (NBA), my favorite set ever
  • 1988 Leesley Bigfoot (the set that got me started collecting)
  • 2002-03 Topps Chrome Refractors (NBA) Refractors are my favorite parallel and this is the closest one to completion
  • 1994 Action Packed (NASCAR) tied for my favorite NASCAR set
  • 1989-90 Marine Midland New York Rangers (just need the cover card!)
  • 1993 & 1994 Skybox The Simpsons (One base card away from completion, also chasing inserts)
  • 1954 Topps Scoop (my favorite Non-Sport set ever)
  • 1953-54 Topps World on Wheels (my favorite automotive set ever)

I am a set builder, mainly baseball. Over a million cards to trade, 1982-2020, not listed here, were already listed on another site. I have listed some cards here for trade,  and most cards listed in the Sportlots collection are for trade/sale as well.  Thanks!

Any and all Braves cards from 1954 - Present (RIP Hank Aaron).

I have decided to scale back from trying to collect every Braves card ever made and concentrate on the sets I like. Lately it seems to be next to impossible to collect team sets since there are so many inserts, VAR, SP, and just all to many brands. Topps has once again turned collecting into $$$ for them by making so many different brands. The cost to collect is getting to be very expensive and making me question the hobby again. I still plan on trading and looking for the cards I am still missing.

Willing to trade just about anything for Braves cards......

I have been trying to do the impossible and collect the entire 2016 Topps and Update Sets. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello all.

Well it's been quite a while since being on here. Thought I would come back and see if I can't find some treasures. Still building up my Gretzky collection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I have something you want but don't have any cards to offer feel free to make me a money offer. I will sell anything I have on my sale trade list

To all the members -  I hope you are all doing well and being safe and to those that sign in and can’t be bothered to reply with a simple acknowledgment to a trade offer (accepting or declining, or a simple I’m looking it over, then you are on my no trade list for no communication etiquette. If you are on here to trade then trade. Don't waste peoples time by claiming to wanting to trade and then ignoring peoples proposals. It's rude and just ignorant. I have no use for people like that.

About Me: Keeping it simple. Only Trading, not Buying.  No Pay it Forwards please.  I build Topps Heritage sets and my goal is to have a complete run of Topps Heritage sets from 2001 to current year.  You can see my progress below. I do build other sets and pc players and those cards are also on my Wantlist.  If I have cards you need, but you have little to trade in return, please message me.  I will look at your FST list and see if there are cards I can use for sets that I am building that are not on TCDB. I'm up for both small and large trade proposals. Cards outside of my FST list are not available.

Shipping: I prefer to ship out via PWE.  More valuable cards or larger transactions will be shipped with tracking. I will provide the tracking number in the message area of the transaction. Currently only shipping to the lower 48 states.

WANTED - Topps Heritage Short Prints (SPs):  Several of the Heritage sets that I am building are only missing Heritage SPs.  If you have any of the SPs I need please send me a message.  I do have a number of duplicate SPs, yet I do not add them to my FST list inventory. Why? Because TCDB is not the only source I use to acquire the SPs I need. To avoid inventory issues, I do not add them to my FST list. (The bulk of the extra SPs I have are from 2018 - 2023.)

Trade Proposals:  If you request multiples of the same card within a transaction proposal, please give me a heads up in the message area.  If I see multiples of one card in a proposal, I am going to assume that you did that intentionally and send multiples.  I say all of this to avoid disappointing someone.  Likewise, I like to pull all the cards before accepting, especially on large transactions. I try my best to mirror my physical inventory to my TCDB inventory, but mistakes can happen.

Topps Heritage Collection: Below is my current progress of trying to complete/build all of the Topps Heritage sets from 2001 to current year. Completion Percentages - Last updated 4/22/2024.

2001 Topps Heritage - 66.83%

2002 Topps Heritage - 34.09%

2003 Topps Heritage: - 66.98%

2004 Topps Heritage - 82.74%

2005 Topps Heritage - 84.84%

2006 Topps Heritage - 85.77% (Only need SPs)

2007 Topps Heritage - 90.28% (Only need SPs)

2008 Topps Heritage - 86.94%

2009 Topps Heritage - 47.60%

2012 Topps Heritage - 75.33%

2013 Topps Heritage - 91.00%

2014 Topps Heritage - 81.70% (Need High Number SPs)

2015 Topps Heritage - 99.59% (Need Trout, Lindor RC, Bryant RC.)

2016 Topps Heritage - 97.93% (Need Kershaw, Ortiz, Posey, Correa, Trout)

2017 Topps Heritage - 97.10% (Only need SPs)

2024 Topps Heritage - 89.00% (Only Need SPs.)

2024 Topps Heritage (White Border) - 12.00% (Only reflects the cards I have received...several are inbound.)

2010, 2011, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 Topps Heritage - Complete!

• Working on low to mid grade 1970 through 1972 complete Topps baseball sets, but I'll take any condition just to complete these sets. I'm focusing on these right now and I hope to trade as much for these as I can. I will buy if the price is right. I'm over halfway on 1970-1972 with HOF and High #'s remaining.

• Detroit Tigers Topps Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1958 to present)

• Detroit Lions Topps and Donruss post 2015 Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1956 to present)

• West Michigan Whitecaps Team Sets (Complete 1994 to present)

• Topps Flagship Baseball Sets 1970 to present (Complete 1973 to present)

• Topps Flagship Football Sets (Complete 1981-1992)

• Topps Traded/Update Sets (Complete 1974 to present)

• Topps Pro Debut Sets (Complete 2010 to present)

• MLB Mascots

• Any other local teams of interest - Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Grand Rapids Rampage, Traverse City Beach Bums, Traverse City Pit Spitters, etc.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

5 cards incoming is a minimum for trades, please! (Unless it's a higher-value card)

I am prioritizing my collecting on Nebraska Cornhuskers currently, so any trades for those former players are preferred.

I care about VARs/variations/parallels. If it's documented that way on TCDb, that's the one I'm looking for! Please take a little time to confirm your cards being offered are correctly documented. Easy traps that everyone falls into are 1990s ProCards/CMC cardbacks and football hobby base versus retail base.

Check out the results of the Ukraine trip here!

Declining trade offers with no message is of little use to the person initiating the trade, show some effort to those putting together trade offers and take a few seconds to note why the trade doesn't work in its current state. A few moments to communicate can lead to a deal getting done!

On the flip side, please stop sending me 1-4 card trades showing that you didn't read/ignored my top message in bold, respect for time goes both ways!

About Me:
KC Royals and Nebraska Cornhuskers Team Collector, and Alex Gordon/Jermaine Dye Super Collector. TCDb enthusiast!

Atlanta Braves, my main PC is Chipper Jones, Austin Riley, Dansby Swanson, Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuna Jr., Michael Harris II, and Vaughn Grisson. Trying to complete Braves team sets (Topps) 1990-2020.

I'm always working on my Chipper Jones collection, especially base cards I don't already own. I'm looking for as many of his 1991 Topps #333 RC cards that I can get! Shoot me and offer and lets see what we can work out.

If you don't have anything on my want list offer me some Braves, Bryce Harper, Ken Griffey Jr, Trevor Bauer, or Nolan Ryan cards and lets see if we can work out some sort of trade!

If variation/error cards are important please have me double check prior to confirming the trade. Often times there are so many small nuances its difficult to properly catalog everything.

FYI I'm not going to pull the cards then send an offer only to be rejected, never replied to or counter offer. If you want to do the trade, send me a message or accept but hold off on mailing till I pull mine. If I make a mistake I will do my best to make it right.

Started collecting baseball cards in 1966. Stopped in 1971. Started again in 1987. Stopped again in 1994. Started to try to reduce the size of my collection when I joined this database. Not sure if I'm getting anywhere.

Like a lot of diiferent card types. If you look at my collections you will get an idea of what. Especially  like cards from before 1970 and oversize cards. Very flexible when it comes to condition.

Favorite team: Cardinals

Favorite players: Albert Pujols, Randy Johnson, Tony Gwynn, Nolan Ryan, Orlando Cepeda and Bob Gibson

Too hard to pick a favorite set but there are definitely some I just do not like the looks of.

57 Topps (boring) 62 Topps (makes me think of wood paneling) 70 Topps (hate gray) 72 Topps (Tackiest looking ever) 81 Topps (hate the little hats that don't look like the team's actual hats) and 89 Fleer (another gray card set)

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

I've been a baseball collector since the late 80's and love to trade.  I am primarily a set collector and belong to several online trading clubs.  My never ending goal is to collect all the regular issued Topps cards from 1952 to present.

My main collecting interests are vintage cards,  Minnesota Twins,  a few newer sets and Bert Blyleven.

Vintage sets:  1952 Topps, 1953 Topps, 1954 Bowman, 1954 Topps,  1955 Topps,  1956 Topps,  1957 Topps,  1963 Topps,  1967 Topps

Newer sets: 2004 Donruss,  2005 Donruss,  2012 Cooperstown.

* I prefer not to trade vintage cards (below 1976) for newer cards.

* Before delivering or accepting a proposal please make sure you have all of the cards.

    • PSA-graded Hall of Famers (baseball primarily, but also football)
      • Any card of a member in the Hall of Fame, any condition - just graded by PSA
    • Any other pre-1965 graded baseball
      • Any condition, preferrably PSA; primarily looking for cheap, low-grade commons
    • Any other pre-1970 graded football
      • Any condition, preferrably PSA; primarily looking for cheap, low-grade commons

Any cards that I have that do not meet the above criteria will be removed from my collection. As of right now, I only sell on COMC (and I don't see that changing). I just don't have the time with my lifestyle (working 40-50 hours a week, plus coaching three baseball teams) to pull, package, and mail trades, or even mail my own sales. I do enjoy sending PIFs and typically check wantlists here before sending a box to COMC for consignment. If I'm looking for something specific and notice you have it FS/T, I may reach out to try and make an offer. I don't expect to receive any proposals, and would rather send someone a few cards from their wantlist and get nothing in return than try to hash out a deal.

I do have cards listed FS/T; they are available via COMC, listed in my "COMC" collection, and can be accessed by following the External Sales Link on those cards. I don't have them in my possession, so I can't do a trade with you. However, I want to see these cards go to people who really want them. If you see something you like, send me a message on here and let me know - the price will come down, and I'll even take a bit of a loss to get you cards for your collection. I keep my prices more in line with what is currently offered on COMC, but I'll certainly be wiling to negotiate, especially with a TCDB member, as these are typically higher than what these cards are truly worth, in my opinion.

I have a unique work schedule that keeps me away from the card room at times but I try to communicate regularly in regards to where I stand during transactions. Willing to do any size trade across sports/eras.

*Of note, some of the 70s & 80s baseball and football cards on my tradelist have conditions indicated and some do not.  It's a work in progress for me to have all of these updated.  If you have any questions about any, I'd be happy to answer them.  Most of my vintage traders have condition issues to some degree (some are fillers only!). If you're looking for nm or ex-mt, I'm probably not your guy. If you need/want fillers or lower grade, they can be had for minimal/no trade depending on the situation. Thanks!

Only interested in trading for the moment. Always up for a fair trade, please try to line up similar cards (year for year, base for base, insert for insert, etc.). Tip for US traders to save on shipping costs to Canada: avoid bubble envelopes (e.g. use PWEs), plastic boxes and big stacks of cards. I'm fine with PWEs if the cards are properly secured. Ship as flat as you can (e.g cut 9 pocket pages in 3 rows and insert cards in each pocket).

After a 20+ year break in collecting, I’m back baby!!! Been on TCDB for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it! Thank you to everyone who has been so helpful to me here. I really appreciate all the bonus cards too! My son (almost 2 years old) has been practicing the letters of the alphabet with those 1984 Topps!

I grew up in Key West, FL so I am a huge Miami Marlins fan (maybe that’s why I love to trade away my superstars.)  Pretty much everything in my collection is available for trade except my Topps Marlins cards. Not interested in any unlicensed cards. Be sure to check out my collection on Instagram @mrmalakacards !!!

I enjoy collecting football and baseball sets all major manufactures Topps, Fleer, Leaf, Upper Deck, Score (that all I can think of right now) 1970's to present,

I have also started a collection of my favorite NHL team the Nashville Predators.

Set building is my major goal condition is secondary. I do not mind a small crease or a rounded corner if a card is needed to complete a set.

I do not grade cards but I will let you know if a card has an obvious flaw before I accept the trade.

I do not mind PWE trades. I always ship in bubble mailers and with tracking if the budget permits. That is my personal preference I do not require or ask it to be yours.

UPDATE 10-7-22

  • Pausing the trade and one-off sale of cards for now as I just don't have the time.
  • Please do continue to message me if you are interested in purchasing the entire collection though.

Selling my entire collection and memorabilia.  Here are photos.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/VDqYixW4faBWwncr9

In bits and pieces or all together. Take a look if you want and make me an offer for all of it or the parts you want.  I'll probably take you up on your offer.  You can always revise your offer after you see the scans/pictures.  I've been working hard to use TCDb and earn good feedback for 100% of my transactions.  In some cases, I have added extra cards just because I know some folks are passionate about a team or set or something.  I am happy to send these cards to collectors filling their pages or set boxes!  I know you will enjoy them!

Right now, I am only interested in selling what I have or trading for or buying Aston Villa (English Football/Soccer) cards from beginning of time to present.  Especially interested in earlier cigarette/tobacco Aston Villa cards.

If any card is not NrMt-Mt from 1990 to present, I will let you know and will send a picture of it.  For older cards, most are Ex.  I'm going to be fair and honest with anyone I transact with.  Pictures sent upon request.  I am motivated to help my cards find a new home where they'll be loved.

Trading: A minimum of 12 cards going each way unless there is a true gem / vintage in the trade. PWE acceptable but prefer large trades of 250+ cards in each direction. Please confirm that you actually have the cards before Accepting a trade; I always do the same at this end. Vintage for vintage; HoF/stars for same; inserts / parallels for same, all as much as possible. Priority are vintage, OPC and sets on my UserLists. Having tried to offer cards from these lists will increase the chances of my Accepting a trade; totally disregarding these and offering me 12+ commons from a set that I am so far from completing that they do not make the list is more prone to being Declined, especially if I see you have cards for trade that are on my lists.

------------------------------

Stats: As of 31 December 2023:

Wants OPC Baseball: base sets 1965-1994 + 1981 Grey Backs and 1990 white stock test issue parallel - 295/13,896 cards (2.12%).

Wants Topps Baseball: base sets 1951-2022 + 1952 Black backs, 1954 Canadian, 1975 mini parallel, 1993 & 1994 Gold parallel - 2,348/49,189 (4.77%). Breakdown by decade: 1951-60 - 1,087/3,816 (28.49%); 1961-70 - 854/6,135 (13.92%); 1971-80 - 313/7,721 (4.05%); 1981-90 - Complete; 1991-2000 - 31/7,856 (0.39%); 2001-10 -  61/6,986 (0.87%); 2011-20 - 2/6,841 (0.03%); 2021-23 - Complete.

Trading/PIF/Purchases on TCDb:

2023 - 195 + 5 still In-Progress; Cards Sent - 11,877 / Cards Received - 9,527

Total since being a member: Cards Sent - 84,113 / Cards Received - 73,209 (# of trades really doesn't matter to me as it can be misleading to the quantity of cards have come and gone).

Sets completed through Trades/PIF/Purchases in 2023 - 85 sets; 170 sets since Dec 2021 when I started tracking this.

---------------------------------

2024 Goals:

1. Reduce my OPC Base set needs to 250 (presently 295);

2. Reduce my Topps Base set needs to 2100 (presently 2348); by decade - to 1960, 1000 (1087); 1961-1970, 750 (854); 1971-1980, 250 (313);

3. Complete all 3 years of Donruss Triple Play (1992-1994) including inserts. Presently missing 45 cards, all inserts and the 1992 & 1993 Promos.

4. Complete all Leaf Studio Base sets (currently missing 30 cards - 1995 (12), 1997 (6), & 1998 (12)).

5. Complete 80 sets / insert sets.

I was first introduced to trading cards as a first grader in 1979 when a kid on the school playground gave me a 1979 Topps #107 Jesus Alou card and one other card (I don't recall which) at the kickball court.  I started collecting in 1980 by buying wax packs of Topps baseball (4 packs for $1) at the nearby 7-Eleven.  In 1983 I started purchasing complete sets of the big 3, as well as older Topps sets as my allowance allowed.  In 1986 I worked for short while for a card shop sorting vending cases of 1986 Topps cards into sets.  Collected mainly complete baseball sets until around 1987 at which point I sold about 2/3 of my collection (~15,000 cards) as I lost interest in collecting.   A few years after graduating college I resumed collecting certain players.  Never got too serious about collecting at that time due to other interests but never completely stopped either.  In 1998 I started to PC Stacey Augmon, as I was looking for something new to collect.  I discovered TCDB in 2020 when I was trying to find a way to inventory my Augmon collection, and picked up the hobby again during the pandemic.  Most of my collection is junk wax era or ultra modern.  I've purchased several large bulk lots via Craigslist and OfferUp, and buy mixed lots of newer base cards at my LCS.  I consider myself a collector, not an investor or flipper. I don't participate in breaks, submit cards for grading, or even open new wax so I'm not looking to strike it rich through collecting, nor do I have many higher end cards in my collection or for trade.  My collecting is completely self-sustaining, meaning all purchases are made through profits from sales, so I am never putting any "new" money into the hobby.

My main PC focus is Stacey Augmon, but I also collect some other players (football, basketball, baseball) who mainly played during the 90s (see favorites to the right).  My goal is to try and get as many different cards of my favorite players as possible.  I only build sets to sell.  Prefer to trade or sell on this site; not really looking to buy.

I love to trade and will respond to ALL offers one way or the other.  All cards for listed trade are NM or better unless otherwise specified; looking for same.  Condition is important to me, although I don't care about centering issues or wax stains.  I am ok with trading cards from different eras and across different sports, trading commons for stars and vice versa, and trades involving uneven number of cards, as long as the trade is fair.  I primarily utilize Sportlots pricing, but normally will just eyeball trade values for most base cards.  I am trying to downsize my collection so I am happy to trade quantity for quality.  Cards will be sent PWE unless they are valuable or there is a large quantity involved.  I generally shy away from trades smaller than 5 cards, unless they're worth more than $5 or so.  Prefer to make trades as large as possible by including as many cards on each others' wantlists as possible.  My goal is to get my For Sale/Trade list down to zero!  However, I am constantly acquiring new cards (ultra modern stuff in all sports) and adding them to my tradelist, so please check back often.  Please also note I am no longer listing multiple copies of cards on my FS/FT list as have started selling the duplicates on Sportlots, so if you are looking for multiple copies of a card, please ask.  I am also always open to selling if we can't find a trade match and will offer you great pricing.  More than anything else, I want you to have a good experience trading with me.  I'd much rather build good relationships so we can do more trades in the future.  If you are not happy with the cards you receive, let me know and I'll do my best to make it right.  I strive for win-win trades where both sides feel good, not trades where one side feels like they are being taken advantage of.

Have some complete sets available for trade or sale as well that are not listed on my sale/trade list: 1986 Sportflics Rookies - Trivia Cards, 1986 Topps baseball,  1990 Donruss baseball,  2020 Bowman baseball (x13), 2020 Bowman Prospects, 2021 Bowman, 1990 Score Magic Motion Super Bowl Trivia Cards, 1992 Pinnacle, 2020 Panini Absolute football, 2021 Panini Contenders Draft Picks, 1994-95 Collectors Choice basketball Series 2, 1998-99 Upper Deck Aerodynamics basketball insert set, 2020-21 Hoops,1991 Topps Desert Storm (x2).  I also sell low priced bulk lots (by set) of ultra modern cards on ebay (see my link below).  Normally lots of 50 to 200 cards for $5-$20.  Great for set builders or team collectors.

For anyone who is going through tough times: If you're going through some tough times whether financially, physically, mentally, relationally, spiritually or whatever and want to make a trade with me but just aren't in a position or have the means to do so, send me a PM and I'll see what I can put together from your wantlist for a free PIF.  After all, when it comes down to it, they're just pieces of paper with pictures on them.  I'd much rather bless someone who needs them than hold onto them.  I am a Believer with an eternal perspective and know that in the end you can't take anything with you.  This is just a hobby, not life or death.

My other collecting interests include sports magazines, sports autographs, and signed sports books.  If you're interested in trading my cards for your magazines, let me know.  In particular I'm looking to fill small holes in my collections of Sports Illustrated, Inside Sports, Sport and the National Sports Daily.  If you're interested in purchasing or trading for any of my autographed sports books let me know as well.  I have books signed by Alonzo Mourning, Apolo Ohno, Brandi Chastain, Chad Hennings, Dave Dravecky, Dennis Byrd, Dick Hoyt, Jim Nantz, Jim Tunney, Joe Garagiola, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Keith Dorney, Lou Holtz, Magic Johnson, Pat O'Brien, Pat Williams, Rex Ryan, Rod Payne, Rolf Benirschke, Roy Firestone, Shaun Thomson, Warren Moon.

#COMMONCARDSMATTER

I have turned trades off again for the time being. I got way more trade requests than I was expecting (thank you all for them!), and cannot keep up along with my work. DM me if there is something you really want. I'm happy to work out a few trades here and there.

Collecting Interests:

Baseball -- Typically Topps flagship, Update, and Chrome annually, plus any other sets I feel like collecting. I'm trying to put a 1953 Topps set together. I also collect rookie cards of any and all star/superstar players. I have also recently started focusing on Japanese-born MLB players' rookie cards (both Japanese sets like BBM and American sets)

I also have PCs of Aaron Nola and Andre Lipcius. I'm always looking to add my my Nola collection! As for Lipcius, I am seeking to collect every card of his that has more than 5 copies in existence. See my wantlist for which ones I am missing. (It's not many!)

Beyond that, I know my wantlist is a bit narrow, but if you have some cool Phillies cards that I dont have, I might be willing to trade for those even if they aren't on my official wantlist. Message me and we can try to work something out. I'm always open to sending or receiving cash in trades if necessary.

My Non-Set Collecting Goals -- last updated in May, 2023

*Note: My goals are in no particular order, are very general, and have no real time frame for when I want them to be completed. Use these just as a general guide for what I collect.

Trading Rules:

Rule 1: Like for Like

Don't offer me 200 commons from 1988 Topps for a GU auto or something like that. It's not going to happen. If there is a card you really want and you don't have much off my wantlist, message me, and we can work something out.

Rule 2: Relatively Fair Deals

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep trades reasonably balancedIt is not that hard to do some research to determine the price of cards, please do it. I understand that you might just not have very much in your trade list that matches with my wantlist, but that is no excuse to offer 10 late '80s commons to me for a Fernando Tatis Jr. Topps rookie card (Yes, this happened). If you do not have enough cards to offer for what you want in return, contact me! I am happy to try and work something out with you. If worse comes to worse, I am always open to selling cards, or doing a partial trade with half cards and half cash. However, if you make a horrible offer with no explanation, that leaves me with a first impression of you that you either (a) are trying to swindle me or (b) did not bother to research the value of the involved cards and are clueless about their value. Neither of those are a good look on you, so don't do it.

I'm not saying trades offers have to be like within a dollar of each other or I'll be instantly offended -- just keep it reasonable. Depending on context, I don't necessarily mind trading $20 worth of cards for $10 in return if it's something I really want, just don't be ridiculous.

Rule 3: Overproduction era commons for current era commons

This is an extension of rule 1. Overproduction era cards can generally be had dirt cheap. That's not to say I won't trade for them if they are on my wantlist; however, I've found that most people are not looking for overproduction era cards in return (for obvious reasons). That is completely fine; however, supply and demand must take effect. I will have a much easier time trying to trade away 2023 Topps commons than 1989 Topps commons, right? Thus, it seems pretty logical that the '23 cards are worth more than the '89 cards. Therefore, I have a general rule of thumb in which I will trade 2 for 1 in favor of whoever is receiving the overproduction era commons.

Again, this is a very general rule of thumb, and there are exceptions, as always. Common sense rules the day.

Rule 4: Make trade worth price of postage

Another common sense rule. In general, why would I do a 1 for 1 commons trade for a 5 cent card when postage is 60-70 cents (PWE)? It makes no sense, right? I would recommend either increasing the value on both sides, or buying the card you want for 1/4-1/3 of the price of postage as part of a larger order on sportlots or COMC. Saves everyone money, time, and effort.

Rule 5: Condition

I'm not too big of a stickler for condition -- especially of older cards. The term I often use is "presentable." If these cards are going towards a set, especially an older set, I want the cards to be presentable. If I had to put a grade on the cards by era that I am willing to trade for, I'd go with this:

(Pre-1970): ALWAYS communicate condition. Condition matters so much for vintage cards that, even for commons, the condition must be communicated before accepting a trade.

1970-1985: VG or better

1986-1993: EX or better

1994-2005: EX-NM or better

2006-present: NM or better

Again, I am not a huge stickler though. If your cards don't fall within these approximate grades, let me know and we can probably still work something out.

Shipping Methods:

I have no preference in regards to PWE or bubble mailer, I am open to both, and have never had an issue with either, so long as the other party's packaging is good (don't just send cards PWE in only penny sleeves -- it won't work. Been there, done that.). When I ship cards out, my general rule of thumb is this:

- Bubble mailers will be used if any card involved in the trade exceeds $10 in value.

- Bubble mailer will be used if the total value of the cards being traded exceeds $20 in value.

- Bubble mailers will be used for any trade of more than 80 cards or so, no matter the value.

- Anything not meeting the above three criteria will be sent in 1-3 PWE(s) with a max of 27 cards per envelope. Cards will be placed into 9 page pocket at a max of 3 cards per pouch, folded over each other, and placed between thin pieces cardboard (typically cereal boxes or the like) taped together.

No trades right now. Only selling cards for the time being. March 2024

No PWEs ever! I won't send them and won't accept them. I only use BM's or boxes for shipping and only accept the same in return.

MLB - St. Louis Cardinals; NFL - Panthers/Packers/Patriots; NASCAR - Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin, Bubba Wallace, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Davey Allison, Ricky Rudd, Jennifer Jo Cobb

Looking to buy cheap lesser quality vintage baseball and football lots.

I'm a collector, NOT an investor, and I deal solely on that premise.

I have my valuations and ANYTHING vintage (i.e. up through 1979) is considered more highly than anything newer.

I have tons of Wants from the overproduced late 1980s to early 1990s and I am looking to trade within that era for those, but I will go cross-sport, and will try to match HOFers, Stars, or Commons as much as possible in a card-for-card trade.

Mostly I'm a "You got gaps; I got gaps; together no gaps" type trader, BUT because I have plenty of oddball wants, I do not trade those for base cards (or even inserts in most cases). For example, I have plenty of Kellogg's cards, but I prefer trading them for other Kellogg's cards (or other food issued cards) from similar eras.

I ACCEPT lower conditioned creased and worn cards, but I wish to be told about them. The only flaws that I'll decline would be significant paper loss on fronts, markings or doodles that are excessive, or severely cut/torn cards. In those cases I'd still like to see scans to determine if they're acceptable. (I do NOT expect your condition requirements to be like mine.)

I vow to send securely and economically with VARs confirmed and condition issues noted or explained:

  1. At least 18 cards going each way in a PWE.
  2. Trades involving up to 90 cards will be mailed in medium to large business envelopes without tracking.
  3. Larger trades will be sent in most economical way possible (obviously with tracking).

Focusing on These for Now (And the only ones which I'll consider in trades smaller than the 18 minimum from above):

  • BASEBALL
    1. 1975, 1978, & 1980 Topps
    2. 1989 & 1991 Donruss Grand Slammers (master sets)
    3. 2001 Upper Deck Decade 1970s and Upper Deck Vintage (base and related inserts)
    4. Any Topps Heritage New Age Performers
    5. Any food issued sets
  • FOOTBALL
    1. 1966 Philadelphia
    2. 1968 Topps
    3. 1987 Topps
    4. 1994 Ted Williams Roger Staubach's NFL (base and related inserts)
    5. 2009 Philadelphia
  • HOCKEY
    1. 1971-72 & 1978-79 Topps
    2. 1987-88 & 1988-89 Topps
    3. 1989-90, 1990-91, 1991-92 Kraft sets
    4. 2001-02 Topps - 1971-72 Heritage
    5. Any food issued sets

Trades only!

Top Priority: Tom Glavine (#5 on TCDb) and Trea Turner (#2 on TCDb) and the main Braves stars from past and present.

Just getting my sons started with their own collections. Looking for any braves for them, especially Strider, Riley, and Acuna.

Less actively looking for former NC State Wolfpack (Philip Rivers, Carlos Rodon, Will Wilson, Patrick Bailey, Torry Holt, Jerricho Cotchery, Nyheim Hines, Ickey Ekwonu, TJ Warren, David Thompson, Andrew Brackman, any others).

Always up for a fair trade, so if I have something you like, send me a proposal.  Prefer PWE deals but can make any work.  Will send PWE unless specifically agreed to do BMWT.  I'm usually able to get cards in the mail on Tuesdays and Thursday.  Happy to trade from my standard collection too if the deal is right.

*Several of the junk wax variations may be incorrect, so let me know if that's important to you and I'll verify before proceeding. Pre-1990 cards may or may not be in Mint condition.  I'll pull and verify before accepting to let you know.  Most are just fine.

I try to be as fair as possible with offers and hope you will too.  If something I send seems off, it's unintentional and I'm always happy to counter/adjust to find something that works for us both.  Thanks!

I am first and foremost a set builder, though I'm always happy to get cards from my favorite players and teams.

I prefer to work on 1 or 2 large trades at a time, but will entertain smaller offers.

I do a pretty good job of keeping up with the VAR's, but I am sometimes behind on the most up-to-date ones.

Not collecting anymore. Getting rid of all my cards.

If my trading is turned back on, it's only to list what someone wants to get from me, not for trades.

It's been fun, but there comes a time for all good things to come to an end. This is my time.

Teams...Reds, Bengals, Celtics

Players...Rose, Larkin, Votto, Phillips, Green, Johnson, Munoz, Bird, Nowitzki, Nash,  Mattingly, Chipper,  Piazza.... Completing Sets and Trading, Period!

This database is a great place for a collector. I've had all positive experiences on here all the people are great so far. If we do a trade and seems like your cards are not going to never arrived, they will, I can be a little slow. And most of the time when it comes to trading vintage and modern I would like that to be on like a 3:1 rate. It only makes sense.

Priority of my want lists:
1 - Any and all Phillies cards (almost anything not in my collection is a "want")
2 - Various set ventures (baseball - 1972 Topps, 2016 Topps Chrome, Archives, Heritage sets, then hockey sets)
3 - Baseball HOFers (1980s)
4 - Baseball HOFers (1970s)
5 - Baseball HOFers (1990s)
6 - Baseball HOFers (other decades)

If there are any other categories of want lists, they would fall between set completion and HOFers.

I added approx. 90,000 cards available for trade in early 2023.

[The next section has been updated on 3/4/2024]

Note: Currently transactions are ON.

While I have transaction requests turned on, trade proposals will be handled in the order in which they are received. I am continuing to take it slow because I don't have the time or patience to take on too many trades at once. Additionally, I have found that it makes it easier on both sides because the cards are known to be available. And please, when we do trade, please make it so that the postage to/from your location to mine makes a trade worthwhile for both of us. Thank you.

Please also note that I am very much open to selling in addition to trading. If you see stuff you want and don't have anything in return, that's okay. We'll work out a deal that will be fair for both of us, not just me (and not just you, please). (The listings over at the SwamiLee account are in my possession and I am also selling those. The only sport left there is baseball.)

Thanks for reading my profile. I enjoy trading cards I don't need for those that I do. I've been in this hobby for many years (I remember opening 1955 Bowman packs at our local candy store)! I usually don't pull my end before making a proposal; most times, I'm trying to get a feel for how doable it is, and it saves me from having to refile cards if things fizzle out or if I'm countered.  I will, however, (usually) pull before accepting a trade.  Please counter, if need be!  Communication is key to good trading!   I have some physical limitations..it may take me a bit to pull cards so your patience is appreciated!

1.  My top priority is completing sets.

2.  Recent Phillies teamsets and inserts.  I do multiple teamsets to help local Philthies Phans!

3. Older Phillies teamset needs..all brands.

As mentioned, I love to trade, will reluctantly sell ... cheap, if we cannot swap!  PLMK what I have that you can't live without!  Phillies is my team, through thick and (mostly) thin!  PWE trades are great and assumed unless we agree otherwise - bubbles used if worth the shipping costs!  Slowing down though - the old body won't let me hoss those 5000 count boxes too much - thanks in advance for your patience with me!!

April 2024 - I've added a lot of Young Gun cards to my FS/Trade list, please don't propose a trade for these cards without being willing to offer Young Guns in return. Response A) Hate being a stickler about this but I'm really focused on wrapping up my Upper deck sets and need Young Guns cards to do so. Response B) I continue to get lopsided trade offers with folks wanting Young Gun cards, expect me to counter.

March 2024 - I am extremely busy at work right now and have next to no time for card related items. Happy to look at trade offers when I can but the hobby is not a top priority for me right now.

January 2024 - Over 1400 trades completed and I've owned/traded/moved over a million cards since joining the site 6+ years ago. That being said, the current state of trading on this site is atrocious. Several years back, the traders were all great to deal with but this has changed dramatically in the last few years and there's truly on a handful of traders which I feel any level of comfort dealing with. Trade offers go ignored, are countered with ridiculous offers and petty issues seem to be common anymore. I left out everyone seems to treat their cards like million dollar prized possessions. I started a No Trade list but it seemed like every few days I was adding someone to it, not worth it guys and gals. I'm finding that I can buy cards I want either from Sportlots or eBay with so much less hassle. And cheap too.

All that said, when my current stash of postage runs out, I'm turning off trading and not sure if I will be returning. Was a fun ride while it lasted.

November 2023 - Trade Values - I am back to using Beckett to look at card values for trade equality.

Willing to trade to Canada again. I am though not accepting any responsibility for any losses, etc. once I drop my envelope in the mailbox. Trader beware!

October 2023 - Nothing against any of my Canadian traders but I am no longer trading to Canada due to issues with Canada Post and the USPS destroying envelopes causing loss of cards, cards needing to be resent, issues with postage, etc. It's too much folks.

To pull, package and ship cards, only to have one of the postal systems destroy the package makes it a fruitless endeavor. It's a waste of both time and money.

Sadly, Canadian trades make up most of my trades so this is probably the beginning of the end of my trading days.  I will probably beginning selling off most of my collection starting in 2024. It's been a fun ride but thats the way I'm heading right now.

****1990-91 Upper Deck Hockey VAR's on my For Sale/Trade list - Highly unlikely that I have any of the oddball VAR's. These cards were entered mainly as placeholders meaning I do have one version of a given card but probably not the version you need. If time permits, I may be open to checking VAR versions but it's not something that I enjoy doing nor high on my list of things to do. ****

September 2023 - Continuing to focus on collecting one card of anyone who is the four Hall of Fame's. I'm over 90% complete on Baseball and Football. Basketball is lagging far behind. Haven't updated Hockey but I should be in good shape there as well.

Supplies:

For anyone close to Denver, I have a large amount of trading supplies that need to find a new home. I have BCW card houses, 5000 and 3200 count boxes and a host of smaller boxes (800, 660, 550, 400, 300, 200 and 100). The latter is a mixture of used and new Collect-Save-Protect or BCW brand.

Disclaimer on PWE trades

I'm hearing of, and personally experiencing, more and more issues with PWE trades. Mainly postal machines destroying/bending envelopes or envelopes arriving and the cards being missing. I have not seen issues like this in my prior 1100+ PWE trades. That being said, I will continue to send 25 cards or less PWE but once the envelope is dropped in the mailbox, I'm no longer responsible for damage/issues after that point. I'm not sending replacement cards or funds if there's damage once the USPS has my/your envelope or your cards are lost in the mail.

I'm very close to no longer writing "Non-Machinable" on my PWE envelopes. This doesn't seem like a makes a difference to the USPS and the financial costs for doing this quickly add up.

I hate to take a hard stance on this but short of stopping trading (or doing larger, bubble envelope trades), I have no other options. I'm spending too much time and money on postage to send replacement cards, when the issue arises, to make trading worth it.

Happy to do larger trades (30+ cards) in bubble envelopes.

What I'm collecting for:

1)I'm primarily an Upper Deck flagship hockey collector. I'm working on completing a few remaining base sets and then chasing Young Guns and insert cards.

2)I'm also collecting RC's (when possible) of all NBA/NHL/NFL/MLB players who have been inducted into their respective Hall of Fames. Also collecting non-players cards as well if they are in the HOF. Basically if the person is in the Hall of Fame for their sport, I'm hunting their RC or if it's a non-player, some type of card for them.

3)Finally, I'm collecting Baseball/Hockey and to a lesser extent, Football sets, of the 1970's/1980's.

Card condition:

If your cards look like they have been manhandled, I'm not interested in them for my collection. No creases, rounded corners or teeth marks.

Buying cards:

I've had several folks approach me about buying cards..I will rarely be interested in buying from someone and, odds are, I will reach out to you first..

Trade size:

Make it worth our time..

PWE packaging:

I am no longer using cardboard protection in my PWE trades. Historically, I've done 100's of trades with cards just in 9 pocket pages and then placed in envelopes and have had zero issues. After some issues I have seen lately with including cardboard in my PWE trades, I'm no longer spending the extra money, and time, just to have cardboard protection in an envelope.

Postage:

Please make sure you have proper postage on whatever you are sending me. Seems to be half the envelopes I get are short on postage. Minimal postage on a PWE envelope is $1.03.

Canada trades:

Has between 9 and 25 cards or less. I can't afford to send big trades unless there's additional cards/value to compensate. Trades less than 9 or so cards don't make a lot of sense either from a cost standpoint.
