I am primarily a complete set builder, so I am happy to trade autograph, memorabilia, or insert cards for multiple base cards on my want list.  

Basketball cards have always been my favorite, but I also collect Topps Flagship baseball, Goodwin Champions, Score football, Major League Soccer and the occasional WWE and non-sport set.  

I also build binders of:

1. Iowa Hawkeyes cards of any sport,
2. Boston Celtics team sets,
3. Minnesota Vikings team sets,
4. Cleveland Guardians team sets,
5. former Iowa Hawkeyes basketball players,  
6. former Iowa high school basketball prep stars,
7. championship teams,
8. All MLB teams,
9. All NBA teams, and
10. NBA 75th Anniversary team 

PARALLELS:  It's been tricky to figure out how parallel basketball cards fit within my collection.  I've come up with the following (ever-changing) rules:

1. Parallel cards don't go into my complete base & insert set binders or boxes.  
2. Decide whether to build a complete set of a particular parallel version.  
3. If #2 is "no" (which is typical), then place a parallel in one of the following collections:
   1. All-NBA team & NBA Finals binders
   2. Celtics team binders
   3. NBA 75th Anniversary Team & Next 25 binders
   4. Former Iowa Hawkeyes binders
   5. Former Iowa prep players binders
   6. Individual player collections
4. If the parallel doesn't fit in #3 above, then sell or trade the card.
