In my initial post, I asked if ACEO cards were allowed in the TCDB. A seemingly simple question.
In the middle of this thread - a lot of personaities appeared: some that have agendas, some that dislike others, etc.
In my last post, I made the argument that if there were clear criteria, it would save everyone's time (and more importantly, the Admin's time).
I count at least a dozen other threads that have asked the same basic question in 2017, 2018 and 2019... are ACEO cards allowed in the TCDB? I suspect there are now thousands of ACEO cards in the TCDB (I only know of a few hundred because I only collect Indianapolis Indians cards on the TCDB).
I collect Cincinnati Reds too, but use Kurt Tolliver's checklist and I have all my pre-1975 sets that I've collected since 1967.
I was asking a question to simplify everyone's life; I didn't realize it would be transformed into something else.

Your question is valid and I can't speak for everyone else who has chimed in. I stayed out of this discussion because I am unfamiliar with the whole concept (at least at the start of this thread) until someone out there started to get vindictive and using the IRs incognito to get snippy with others. I do believe I added a comment earlier in this thread (might have been another) about a guy named Tanner who makes custom cards, but always puts on the cards that they are not real. Again speaking only for myself I cannot recall this issue ever coming up before, if you found threads that did then I don't recall them. In those past discussions then I doubt anyone ever sent all the sets like you did to ADMIN for clarification. I'm just trying to explain the nature of the site. One guy owns this site and runs it. Until he sees the stuff sent to him he has no idea what the forums are discussing, and going by evidence on what needs to be cleared by him going untouched for many days I would say he is away. You can contact him. His user name is ADMIN.

Revelant or not.
The NFL has rules, one such rule deals with pass interference, which has had it's issues over the years. Changed over and over to try and get it right, The rule is supposed to be enforced by the referees. Well if you watch NFL games, you'll soon realize that the refs can't get it right, yet. Good calls, poor calls and controversial calls. Still a mess !
The TCDB has rules [or should have clearer rules], these rules deal with the acceptable cards that should be allowed in the database. Obviouslly similar type cards have been listed, ACEO, Broders and the like since the '80s and '90s. Admin, L8s and the crowd sourced system are supposed to provide us with guidance. Read the original post, read the 40+ replies, and you will not get an answer to the original post, but you will get a million suggestions, and a hint of ill will. Still a mess!

The very first reply answered his question..."NO".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

This will not end soon or will it end with a WELL DEFINED answer. A real shame.
Are we going to allow IRs flooding in on Chuck's cards? Sad.
The only resolution, is to take ALL ACEOS, BRODERS and the like, and Develop a CLEAR description of acceptable cards.

Only slightly related, and no one asked, but I feel this is worth pointing out at least as something the community should be aware of and I mean no disrespect by saying:
As a relatively recent user, the fact that custom sets of site members can be listed on here seems somewhat sophmoric and undignified as a site and detracts from the site's credibility as a source for information. It sounds like some clear guidelines still need to be hammered out one way or the other because if that's the current line in the sand that ain't it

Bob, start your own site. That will end it right there.
