Thanks. It was a different era back then. The music turnover was rapid as songs came and went in six or seven weeks. There was always something new and exciting. It's unfortunate that radio stations stopped handing out this kind of material. KIIS-FM was number one in Los Angeles for something like thirty years and a collection from that station might consist of a few bumper stickers and t-shirts. Zzzzz.

Wow I had no idea that everyone collected so many different things besides cards. I also forgot to mention that I collect wrestling action figures, and toy wrestling belts.

I think the prize for most unique goes to NSEndo for the antique medical equipment!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Although I’m only currently active in cards, I’ve held on to other collections/accumulations picked up over the years since childhood of:
Stamps
Coins
Jazz LPs
Antique radios
Author-signed books
P.S. to Big Ray: I remember listening to 93 KHJ in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s too!

Besides cards, I collect GI Joe's, the ARAH era. I still have all my original Joe's from my childhood. Although they are well played with, they are the holy grail of my collection. In my eyes anyway.
I also have a small arrowhead collection.
Although I build models and not actually collect kits. I have enough unbuilt kits that you could call them a collection lol.

I have a collection of stamps my mother gave to me as a child. I have yet to do anthing with them. I read this post and got them out. I'm not sure I know what I'm looking at. Is there a site (similar to this one) I can go to for assistance?

I'm late to this party, but I might as well contribute. At first I thought I had no other collections, but that's not true. I collect patches, or "badges" for my Canandian friends. I started when I first went abroad in 1985-6. A patch was the only souvenir I could afford. And I kept it up, for every city, or major place I've visited. I don't know how many I have. I think about 130. About 120 of them I have sewed onto my jean jacket -- US on the front and sleeves; outside US on the back. I'm out of room on the back. Have room on the sleeves. My jacket is a bit famous among my friends. And I love it. Because it's truly unique.
I also have a decent collection of postcards from various places I've been. And we seem to have accumulated about 8-10 masks of various sorts, but that's not really a collection.
Ok, I feel better now.

Let's see if this thread gets rolling again. I don't collect postcards, but I do collect brochures, pamphlets and visitor's guides from places I've been.
I also have a U.S. map on a corkboard. It has a pin for every city or town I've stepped foot in, except for NC. I only marked a few for my home state. Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to see most of the state on the map! I also mark sports events I attend with a pin colored to the team.
