Pen to Paper: "Real" Autographed Cards (Hockey M - O) by thirstydeer
Last updated on Apr 26, 2024

This is a list of all the cards I have in which the players have signed the cards personally. I either met the player in person or mailed the cards to the player. Forgive my poor cropping efforts. It does not reflect the quality of the cards.

I will try to provide captions for most of the cards to give a backstory as to how I got the cards signed.

This list is for my hockey cards with player last names between M and O:

Jamie Macoun, Darrin Madeley, Clint Malarchuk, Dave Manson, Norm Maracle, Daniel Marois, Dennis Maruk, Stephane Matteau, Brad May, Alyn McCauley, Bryan McCabe, Curtis McElhinney, Bob McGill, Randy McKay, Kirk McLean, Jamie McLennan, Dave McLlwain, Kelly Miller, Ryan Miller, Kevin Miller, Dmitri Mironov, Bryan Muir, Jake Muzzin, Ric Nattress, Chris Neil, Bernie Nicholls, Colton Orr, Mark Osborne

Debut cards for all 2021 first-time major leaguers by Mungo Hungo
Last updated on Apr 26, 2024

Each player’s card is from 2021 or the next possible year, except that multi-player cards, game cards and a few other types are skipped over and used only absent other options. Minor league cards are used as a last resort. I own each card pictured. The highly uninteresting rules are in my profile page, linked above.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
See any mistakes, such as the card picturing the wrong player or misspelling a name? Or maybe a higher priority card exists but isn't yet listed in TCDB? Please let me know.

Thanks to my son and budler for their help. Great appreciation to both C2Cigars and theFalcon for their hours of detailed research which is probably not all properly credited on the list

Newest additions will be at end of the list, with "New as of date" and final cards will be the entire list

Indiana University Football - Get Me Out of Here! by BucCollector
Last updated on Apr 26, 2024

The Indiana Hoosiers hold the record for most lifetime losses by a Division I team (713), and boast the third worst winning percentage (42%) of any Division I team with more than 1,000 games played. Indiana's last Rose Bowl appearance was in 1968 (they lost) and not since 1947 has a coach left IU with a winning record.

These players (and a coach) risked career ignominy before leaving for better opportunities.

The Nose Test by RefsInTheBack
Last updated on Apr 25, 2024

I am hunting copies that pass The Nose Test, showing 51% (or more) of the referee's face, using their nose as the measuring tool.

I am always looking for copies of these cards with a better percentage of the referee's face visible to "upgrade" my project. If you have a card on this list that is cut OC and passes The Nose Test, let's make a trade!

Notable Players with Only One Orioles Card by plevin

Players with notable MLB careers who have only one Orioles card. (Parallels don't count as individual cards. Team postcards only count when I want them to. The 1991 Crown set doesn't count.)

Milwaukee Brewers IP/TTM Signed Cards by BrewerAndy
Last updated on Apr 24, 2024

Most Recent Update: added Abraham Toro

A-Z with a couple of fun team sets grouped at the end and a few surprises for the super bored sprinkled in along the way.

One of my side projects is collecting an autograph from every player that has ever appeared in a Major League game for the Milwaukee Brewers. This list tracks all of the cards that I have acquired through the mail, in-person, or through private/public autograph appearances. A few were purchased. I have many others on signed baseballs, 8x10’s, index cards, and custom cards not cataloged here unfortunately. My preference is always to get the players on a Brewers baseball card but when that’s not possible a photo or custom will suffice and worst case a team neutral item such as an index card or single-signed baseball will do.

Brett Butler Bunting by MattnMiller

Was going through my collection of Bret Butler cards and noticed how many of them show him bunting so I decided to see how many different images/cards of him there are in the DB. Kind of cool that this was the focus of so many of his cards since it was an important part of his game.

THE QUINTESSENTIAL LIST OF LEFTY FB PASSERs by Huskerfan22
Last updated on Apr 22, 2024

Basic Premise: They threw a pass in an organized game of football with their left hand. In Old English "lyft" meant weak and unless. This implicit bias against left-handed quarterbacks shrinks the margins for participation, leaving no room for the average performer. This list celebrates the exceptional football throwers from among the 11% of the general population who are either left-handed (10%) or the ambidextrous (1%)

This list is intended to be grouped by
Section 1) Professional Quarterbacks
Section 2) College Quarterbacks
Section 3) High School Quarterbacks
Section 4) Left-handed Non-quarterbacks
Section 5) Righties trying to throw lefty
Section 6) 2fers - Two Lefties one card
Section 7) Misc. Lefty Football Throwing Fun
Section 8) Recently added / "New as of"

Orioles Fleer needs by Tscastle
Last updated on Apr 21, 2024

I started collecting again 3 years ago after a long absence from the hobby. Over the last two years I was able to complete my Orioles base Topps collection using this list - https://www.tcdb.com/List.cfm/lid/10794/Orioles-Topps-needs. Now I am attempting the same with the other major manufacturers - Donruss, Fleer, Score, and Upper Deck.
Received 4 of 44 to date. Trades from Snyderart, CH34, borosny, and MotownMike

Rarely seen but un valued cards by Derek McDonough
Last updated on Apr 21, 2024

These are cards in my collection that very few have ever seen. If someone has them in their collection, I’d question if they checked the correct box. Some were issued separately from the set as a SGA so surviving quantities are unknown. The fate of many in the hands of children with no care of keeping condition.

One card, usually my best, of each Michigan Wolverines baseball player in my collection (including those who attended school but didn't play for the team, then went on to appear on one or more cards).

Currently the list includes a total of 91 subjects on 91 cards. I'll continue to add players and upgrade cards as I receive them.

Lambeau Leaps by MoPack626
Last updated on Apr 16, 2024

After creating a couple of lists, I've noticed that I have several Packers performing the iconic Lambeau Leap. For those who don't know, it is when a Packer scores a touchdown (or even game clinching play), he jumps onto the wall and sits there for a couple of seconds while the fans congratulate him with pats, hugs, and even beer! The first one was by newly minted Hall-of-Famer Leroy Butler in 1993 against the Raiders (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIAxhcae4ow). For this list I'll also post (and accept) cards of other teams doing their version of the Lambeau Leap.

Women's Basketball Type Card Collection by BucCollector
Last updated on Apr 12, 2024

Rather than a collection of every card in a set, a type card collection is comprised of one example card from many sets. This WBB collection includes players and coaches from more than 200 different sets, including baseball, football, softball, multi-sport, and non-sport sets, along with basketball sets. The collection includes cards from Australia, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, and the US.

Presented chronologically (but with the latest addition first), it provides insight into how card designs, teams, and players have changed over the years.

I'd be glad to trade for any card from any set that isn't already represented in my collection.
