Set: 1996-97 Collector's Choice (Rate)

Card: #258 Wendel Clark

“ It seems weird to me, learning about hockey, that they wear blue and not red. Apparently I just associate Canada's flag with the maple leaf that much. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Maple Leafs legend. Got chance to play briefly with the Blackhawks, but these are his true colors. Set is OK... well, at least much better than 1995-96 Collector's Choice. ” -Duke

“ WENDEL!!!!! Best Youtube video ever- Wendel Clark- ALL HEART! ” -Howintensive

“ Quickly becoming a hockey fan....just watched game 7 Islanders/capitals... BRUTAL!! ” -SFC Temple

“ Part of one of the most popular Leaf teams along with Gilmour,Joseph, the great Pat Burns etc.Tough guy who could score.I liked this set it was affordable & looked good. ” -uncaian

“ One of these over produced sets that I have a love/hate reaction to. I like the cartoon guy on the trivia question. Overall design is good. Now do I go for the entire set still? (I have a bunch in a couple of boxes from some blind bulk rate box buys) Or just make sure I have my Caps set complete? ” -captkirk42

“ Collector's Choice have always been very kid friendly cards. ” -carthage44

“ Never had the hockey cards, but hated the design of these of the football cards I had. ” -jupiterhill

“ I like this set. The focus is on the picture. Easy to see who the player is, and his team and position. Easy-to-read card number on the back. Most Collector's Choice sets were good in my book. ” -switzr1

Set: 2001 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #156 Nick Price

“ Golf action shots...so thrilling. ” -suomibear8

“ Neat design. The giant golfballs is kind of cool, although it does sort of look like they are coming right at you and are about to hit you in the face. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Pretty sure this is the Tiger Woods RC set. Man, has that card dropped in value the past few years. ” -carthage44

“ Golf. Nope not into golf. Then again I did get a Michelle Wie card, and there is that Tiger Woods Goodwin Champions mini... ” -captkirk42

“ Not bad. I think it'd look better without the half golf balls on each side. ” -C2Cigars

“ A golf card. Looks very nice. Not a big golf fan, but this is a great looking card. ” -yokonashiwa

“ In all the golf games I have watched I have yet to see a player march. Sulk? yes. Saunter? definitely. Drop to the ground and cry? Tiger Woods. March?? ...Also... 280 GRAND!!?? I'm gonna go sulk while I work for 18.48/hr as he saunters for 280k ” -Dixxy

Set: 1992 Fleer (Rate)

Card: #223 Dave Eiland

“ 1992 Fleer would be one of the last years before I would go into my unintended hiatus from the hobby until around 2005/6 ” -captkirk42

“ I know many will probably pan this set, but I like it. ” -vrooomed

“ Anybody could have played in the majors back in the late 80's and early 90's. Dave here proved that. ” -carthage44

“ Not a bad looking set. Numbers are easy to read so they were easy to sort if you had hundreds of them. This is a set im sure I will eventually try to finish. ” -switzr1

Set: 1995 Upper Deck (Rate)

Card: #117 Lake Speed

“ This was a great time in racing, and I consider 1994 the best year for their cards- when this photo is from. Totally unrelated to cards, but Lake Speed is the only driver who I know has seen a scale model I've built of his car. It wasn't this one, though, as I have been unable to master the bodywork required to build a 1994-95 Thunderbird. I'm missing this card from my collection...at 301 cards 1995 Upper Deck is the second largest NASCAR card set. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Lake's brothers Warp & Full never caught the racing fever. ” -uncaian

“ Boogity, boogity, boogity! ” -mkaz80

“ Nice card. I had to read the back to know if "Lake Speed" was the name of a driver or a race track or the car for that matter. NO I don't follow racing so forgive my ignorance those who do. ” -captkirk42

“ The driver's name is Lake Speed? HAHA, typical Nascar. ” -carthage44

“ Is Lake Speed his name? ” -switzr1

Set: 1995-96 Upper Deck - Predictors Retail (Rate)

Card: #R26 Pavel Bure

“ Overall it was a good era in hockey card collecting, but I never liked these predictor cards, because as a finnish collector, I could never participate. Nevertheless Blackhawks predictor cards are must haves in own collection. ” -Duke

“ Never liked the Predictor cards. At least the scan is good! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Decent insert set with a means to have fans be able to get bonus cards if certain players did well. ” -vrooomed

“ The Russian Rocket, man could he move. This set is just another example of 90's overdone product. ” -uncaian

“ That crazy Upper Deck and the 1990s. ” -captkirk42

“ Pavel Bure forever ” -wax_house

Set: 1990 Topps (Rate)

Card: #365 Ozzie Guillen

“ My all time favorite Topps baseball design. Seriously! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ My inner 10 year old still thinks '90 Topps is the coolest. True, it's certainly a set that hasn't aged well. But I still have a big soft spot for an otherwise cringe-worthy design. ” -mkaz80

“ I must have liked them, I have thousands of them! :) Then again, maybe not. I know a lot of people like this design now, but it sure was reviled back in 1990. ” -vrooomed

“ I like this set ... enough variations to keep me busy. STILL looking for Frank Thomas NONAME ERROR,,,ugh!...~BOB~ ” -BOBSCARDZ

“ Many people hate this Topps set but I have always liked it. Granted sometime in the mid 90s when I thought I had a million of them, but only really had about 300 I got tired of it. I still need about 700 or so to finish the set, but I still like them. ” -captkirk42

“ Ozzie is one of the White Sox all-time greats/ A really good player and was the manger that brought the White Sox their first championship in 88 years back in 2005! ” -carthage44

“ Liked the design on the front, not so much on the back. But one of those sets that was overproduced which is sad since it looked decent. ” -Joshua825

“ 1990 TOPPS!!!!!!!!!! ” -SFC Temple

“ Here he is looking for Jay Mariotti. ” -wax_house

“ Good-looking Topps set. Now if only it wasn't Ozzie Guillen on the card! This is one of three Topps baseball sets I can think of off the top of my head where all the borders weren't the same color. 1975 and 2015 also. I've probably forgotten some though. ” -switzr1

“ A nostalgic set of mine...definitely an ugly set, but damn flashback central... ” -SaveDaKid

“ The pants numbers were left over from their previous set. An odd addition, as it would have looked better without the numbers. ” -jlaz10

Set: 2014 Choice Norfolk Tides (Rate)

Card: #2 Heath Bell

“ I wish the Norfolk was still the Mets' triple-A hub. They've bounced from New Orleans to Las Vegas since then, and neither seems to fit. This is a pretty sweet card, by the way. As far as minor league designs go, this is one of the better concepts I've seen. ” -mkaz80

“ Very nice minor league card. Recently, Choice and Grandstand have really added value to minor league sets. ” -vrooomed

“ One of those relief pitchers who lost his effectiveness really fast. He had been one of the NL's best closers. Then he was in The minors. Now he's retired. ” -switzr1

“ What a downfall for this guy. Just a few years ago he was an elite closer and now is playing for the Norfolk Tides in Triple-A trying to hang on to his MLB career. ” -carthage44

“ Fun looking Minor League card. Hey that guy actually made the bigs. Amazing. ” -captkirk42

“ The T looks like an L. ” -Billy Kingsley
